Moving in

You didn't have too much stuff to pack. You did only own two outfits ever since the blast.
One was just a hoodie in your favorite color and some jeans secondly was a checkered short sleeve button shirt with some darker pants.

You loaded it all into your backpack, with some bathroom essentials in the room in S.T.A.R. Labs, you had spent some time now in, most of that time knocked out.

You were getting lost in thought. Caitlin asked you to move in with her. Was this moving too fast?

Then again. You did love her and Frost. But is moving too fast not going to make her tired of you? You were subconsciously thinking about this, holding your tube of toothpaste in your hand.

"Does it say anything interesting?", you heard Caitlin say behind you.

You turned around to look at her and smiled.

"Sorry. Just deep in thought for a bit."

"About what?"

You know what they say about relationships and being truthful. So...

"Caity. Can I be honest with you?"

"Sure."

"Don't you think moving in is...pretty early right now?"

You saw her face change to a saddened expression. You walked up to her.

"I don't mean it like that Caity.", you said as you took her hand in yours. "It's just that... People have gotten tired of me in the past. Sometimes because I wanted to take things faster, sometimes because I made mistakes. And I just...I just don't want you to get tired of me."

She looked at you and smiled. "Y/N. The reason I'm asking this is very simple. We don't know how that future ends. And over the past couple of years, seeing that and watching you out cold simultaneously. Looking at the ring on my finger in that future and how you were going to fight for me."

She set a step closer and laid her arms across your shoulders and your neck.

"That future. That vision. And seeing you in the hospital. Has been what kept me going these last few years. I fell in love with someone I didn't know anything about. And when you woke up. I realized why. You're a hero. You're kind. You get along with the people well here. In just a short time you've made friends around here. Don't think I haven't heard you and Cisco geeking out! You even made Frost admit how she felt about you. That's not a small feat, Y/N. I love every second with you. I want to appreciate that as much as I can. And I wouldn't for the life of me get tired of that, ever. Even though our relationship is not conventional right now, it doesn't mean it's any less real. Not to me."

Every word of that touched you, a gentle touch on your heartstrings. You let the words sink in for a bit. There was a short silence.

"You oka-"

You interrupted her. You had grabbed her hips and planted your lips on hers, pulling her as close as you could. You could feel her smile as she was kissing you, seemingly melting into you.

You didn't let go for a couple of minutes until you both needed some air, but you kept holding her close. It was then she noticed a tear on your face.

"Caity. No one has ever made me feel like this. Wanted. Needed. Loved. Both you and Frost have given me so much more meaning to my life in just a few days than I've ever felt in these years before the PA accident. When I saw you in the hospital for the first time, I had thought I had died and passed to heaven."

She smiled at that last sentence, not letting go of you.

"So does that mean you are moving in with me?", she gives you a sly smile.

You laughed a little and put your forehead softly against hers.

"I would love to."

You give her a quick kiss and grab your backpack with all your memorabilia and clothes you still had and made your way with her.

Timeskip to when you arrive at her place

"So. This is it. It's small, but it's home.", she says as she opens the door and walks you in.

You drop your backpack next to her couch and have a look around.

"Wow. You live nicely. My apartment was nothing to be scoffed at, but wow. This looks cozy."

"Think you can get used to it?", she says as she walks in, taking off her coat and putting it on a chair near the dining table.

You look around and smile. "I think I can. Though it depends."

She walks closer with a puzzled look on her face, "On what?"

You move closer to her, reaching for her sides and pulling her close by her hips, "Does this place come with the two delightful snowflakes I'm looking at right now?"

She laughed a little, "Wow, that was very cheesy."

"I told you, Caity, I'm a cheesy guy."

She kisses you deeply, then pulls back and looks at you with a smile.

"It's a full package, take it, or leave it."

"I think I'll take it."

She just looks at you and you see a tear on her face.

"I've waited two years for this. Me and Frost. And you're just as amazing as I dreamt you were."

You wipe her tear away and smile, "So you dreamt about me, huh?"

A red color started growing on her cheeks, "I might have.", she says shyly.

"Really? What sorts of dreams?", you ask, genuinely.

She leans in and whispers, "Follow me and I'll show you."

She softly nibbles on your earlobe and she walks away.

Towards what looked like a bedroom. Her bedroom.

You follow her, feeling your heartbeat fasten in your chest with desire.
