Cisco had worked continuously for a day or two on what he had planned with you.

"She may not like it, but I think you're right. They need to both be there for this."

He picked up the small device. Circular in shape, about as big as a coin.

"Alright. Cisco, I can't begin to tell you how much this means to-"

"Ah ah ah! I don't want to hear it. You have made one of my best friends in the world very happy. Something she deserved for a long while now. This is just me repaying that.", he said with a smile.

You laughed and gave him a hug.

"Thanks, Cisco."

"Don't mention it. Now, when do you want to do this?"

"Tomorrow. We'll call it a test run for a new device."

"You got it. I'll tell the others once you are gone."

"Again. Thanks, man."

He just smiled as you left and went back to the core. Caitlin was awaiting you.

"There you are. You and Cisco just vanished."

"He wanted to show me this new Star Trek model he put together.", you smiled.

"How many references?", she simply asked.

You laughed. "I lost count at around 20."

She walked up to you and kissed you.

"Well, we still have a bit of time here. You go ahead and train with Barry, sweetheart."

"Will do.", you kissed her softly. "See you in a bit, snowflake."

She blushed a bit at that as you got different reactions throughout the core. Some groaning, some smiling.

You then went off with Barry to the speed lab to train.

Timeskip to Barry listening to you explaining the plan

"You're really going to ask her?", he said, a gleeful smile on his face.

"Yeah. Both of them, actually. Cisco helped me with that."

"I'm happy for the both of you. Ever since that vision Caitlin had of the future. She was scared and confused. But every time she came back from visiting you at the hospital she seemed...at peace. Happy. You have a good influence on her, Y/N.", he put a hand on your shoulder.

"Now, let's rough you up, so it at least looks like you've trained."

You both get ready.

Barry came at you at lightning speed, you not being able to dodge. But you had something else.

You summoned the armor as a loud metallic clang was heard throughout the lab.

He took a step back and swung his hand in a pained way.

"Geez, Y/N. How tough is that armor?"

"No clue. I haven't fully tested it out yet.", you joked.

"Okay. You come at me. Let's see what you got."

You ran up to him, bolts flying everywhere. He dodged them all.

"Come on, Y/N. You have to try at least."

You went after him summoning swords, axes, daggers, all flying after him, but just too slow.

"Come on! How are you gonna protect Caitlin like that?!", he yelled.

Something snapped in you at those words. Without you realising it, you teleported straight in front of him and socked him in the jaw, sending him flying.

As he got up, you realised what just happened and let the armor disappear.

"Barry, I... I don't know what just-"

"No, it's alright. I taunted you. But what was that, though? How did you move faster than me?"

"I...don't know. The game never had this ability."

"We'll have to let Cisco figure that out." He saw you were getting worried.

"Hey, Y/N, I'll be fine. I've had worse than this. No grudges.", he said with a smile, which put you somewhat at ease.

Suddenly, the intercom jumped on. "Guys, I'm gonna need both of you back at the core.", you heard Cisco's voice say.

You both shared a look and hurried there.

Timeskip to you both arriving at the core

"What's up, Cisco?", Barry asked.

He turned to you both, but looking at you in particular.

"We've got a problem."

"What is it?"

"I am the problem."
A woman, brown hair, very formally dressed walked into the room.

"You're Diggle's wife.", you muttered.

"Lyla Michaels, director of A.R.G.U.S. Good to see you mister L/N."

You turned around. "How does she know my name?"

"I had asked to send the Flash to the ball. Instead you sent a rookie meta."

"Rookie?", you asked, feeling as if you were just ignored.

"And now, the mayor's prized possession is stolen. A model of Central city."

"How is a little LEGO City worth anything again?", you asked. You were getting pissed. In a few seconds she had just denied everything you did to get here. Every step, every training, the trial. Everything.

She looked at you with squinting eyes but you weren't gonna back down.

"It contains something of worth to the mayor."

"Which is?"

"Confidential.", she said shortly.

"Okay, so you're just here to drill me into the ground, for what exactly? We saw no hostile meta activity. Neither did you.", your agitation grew. Director or no, you respected yourself more than enough than to let someone just devalue you.

"Y/N, cut it out!", Barry said.

You stepped back into the corridors. What was she thinking? Just devaluing you. As if you didn't do anything to protect who you could. You were only getting started anyway.

"Are you okay, Y/N?", her sweet voice ringed out. You turned around to her a look of confusion and pain on your face.

"Two years I lay in a coma. Then I get out here, I try to get used to my powers and now it's my fault all of a sudden? Because I didn't know Rick was a meta? A major thief? How am I a villain all of a sudden?"

Caitlin walked up to you and put her hands on your shoulders, attempting to calm you down. "You're not. She just doesn't know you. Doesn't know who you are or what you fight for. It frightens her."

You just moved a bit around not sure what to do.
"Don't let her believe it's true though. You can go back in and show her who you really are. The you I fell in love with.", she smiled at you.

You then had an idea. Your face brightened and you felt at peace. You held her hios and pulled her close.

"Sometimes I wonder what I'd do without you, snowflake.", as you kissed her deeply.
"Together?", you asked as you held your hand out. She took it with a smile. "Together. Always."

So you both turned and went back in.
