"For fuck sake how can you study for this final Luna?" Pansy asked. "It might be because I don't want to fail school." "You're wicked smart. You won't fail school." "I don't know. I just want to make my father proud."
My father always expected me to be a kind, loving, smart, and a controlled witch. For awhile it was working. I was sweet to everyone who crossed my path. Even if they called me "Looney Lovegood." It didn't matter. I just wanted my father to be proud of the person I would become. Sometimes that can be hard when you don't let your anger out. It can reach this limit where it's forced to come out. And unfortunately, when it does come out others are around me. I couldn't find one person in my life who would fill me with rage. Somehow I was sensitive enough to be bothered by everything. I just didn't show it all the time which made things frustrating. I grew up in a world where everything was either perfect or out of order. Sometimes it would be nice and relaxing. But if you're feeling like hell and everything in life is wonderful. It's hard to put a smile on your face. Even if you're pretending.
Once I came to school it became harder to smile for every fucking asshole in the school. My life was completely fucked until I met Roxanne. Roxanne was the type of person you could trust with anything. She also was the type of person who would do anything to survive. She never wanted to be murdered because she would rather die naturally. Her idea on everyone in the school was the reason we became best friends. She would wait for me outside the Ravenclaw house, and we would walk together for all our classes. We would walk by a mixture of people we really didn't like. Once they would walk past us we would run into the bathroom and start mocking their behaviors. "Oh look at me. I'm the most popular slut in the school. No pictures please..not today!" Roxanne said with a burst of laughter. "Or. Look at those books. My daddy's checks will make my life easier." I said trying not to laugh. There would be multiple times where we were late to class just because of how much we loved to make fun of everyone else. But the way we meet was the most important thing ever. It was third year, and let's just say we became friends in the dumbest way.
"Roxanne did you hear what happened?" Harry asked. "What did Malfoy bite his lips towards you again?" "No." "Ok then what?" " I forgot my book in class because I was distracted with this one girl...I need you to get the book from McGonagall." "Well why can't you?" "I'm busy." "Doing what?" "Can you just stop being a fucking bitch and go get the book." "Fine." "Why are you so rude Harry?" I asked. "She's been annoying." "I'm going to go tell her that you're a piece of shit." "She tells me that everyday." "And she's correct." "Fine whatever. Just make sure she gets my book." "Ok I'll make sure she burns it as well." "No!" "Too late bitch!" I walked to the classroom to find Roxanne beating Neville with a book. Now as much as I loved Roxanne and her confidence. I really cared about Neville, and wanted to protect him. I ran over to her and hit her in the face with another book. I knew she was going to hit me back, and I didn't care. I've always enjoyed a good fight. We started hitting each other with books until Professor McGonagall came in. "What is going on in my classroom?!" "I'm sorry Professor." I said while Roxanne stayed quiet. "That will be fifty points from Ravenclaw house, and Slytherin house." "Fifty?!" Roxanne yelled. "And the both of you will receive a month's detention..together. Starting now!"
She forced us to stay in the classroom while she locked the door. The both of us had bloody noses, and our hair was all fucked up. We just sat next to each other not saying a single word. Until... "Why did you hit Neville?" "Because he asked me to so he could get out of quidditch class." "Is that true?" "Why don't you go ask him." "So are you telling me we just had that fight because of Neville?" "Guess so." "You're nose is really bloody." "Not as much as yours though." I laughed at that, and she chuckled a little. Since McGonagall wasn't in the classroom we just talked the rest of the time. It was actually really nice because she was different from other Slytherin's. Not that I'm saying Slytherin house is horrible. Don't worry, I'm not Hermione. I'm just saying that she had the personality of someone who would be a great friend. She was a little ruthless, and manipulative. But I think everyone is a little manipulative. Just some people tend to be higher on the scales than others. We both saw the world the same, and we always knew what to talk about. She was also an amazing person. She just didn't show it much. I could tell she was hiding something, but she was too scared to say anything. It made me understand her more even though I don't know much about her. She's one of those people who can't talk about their past with everyone because it causes them too much pain. It doesn't mean that they don't trust you or care about you. It just means that whatever they went through was really shitty, and they do their best to forget it. And if that means never speaking a word of it. Then that's how it has to be.
