Roxy has been here for five whole days. She's never left the bed, and she's barley eaten any food. She cries almost the entire day, until she falls asleep. But even once she sleeps, she has nightmares that force her awake. She needs to be taken care of, and loved. She needs help.
I walked into her room to see her crying, and hyperventilating. I sat down on the bed, and brought her into my arms. "You need me to help you love." "I'm fine." "If this is you being fine, that's concerning." I wiped the tears off her face. "Would you like a bath, darling?" "I don-." "You haven't been yourself, and I think once you do the normal things again you might feel more calm. I'm not saying this feeling will go away anytime soon. But you can do some things to try and make yourself smile again." "I don't see the point." "Well, come take a bath with me and eat some food. Then I'll let you go back to sleep." "Your sheets are covered in tear-." I put my finger to her lips to silence her. "I'll take care of it. Don't you worry."
I picked her up in bridal style, and walked her over to the bathroom. I started the bath while she just leaned against the shower door wiping her tears away. Once the bath was done, and I added the bubbles I helped her undress. Once she was fully undressed I put her in the bath water. "The temperature is perfect." "It's really easy to detect perfect water temperature." She chuckled, and went back to wiping her tears away. I started to wash her body, and hair while she sat in the bath staring off into space still crying. She will get over this. Hopefully.
After I she got out of the bath, and got dressed. I made her some food, and helped her eat. She didn't say anything to me, but she didn't need to. I can tell when she's happy that I'm near. Right now she is thinking that I'm bringing her out of darkness. Which is what I'm trying to do.
I brought her back to the bed, but before I could walk away she grabbed my hand. "Do you need anything else?" "No. I just want you to be with me." "I'll be in around five. I just need to send a letter, and I'm all yours." "I trust you." "So do I."
I was being honest when I told her that I also trusted her. It wasn't a lie. I really did trust her when she came back to me once I gave her the opportunity to leave. Even though she stabbed me, I still trusted her because I truly loved her. And I still love her. There is nothing she could do to get me to hate her, or to never love her again. Even if she left me forever, and never came back. I would still love her.
When I went back into the room she was almost asleep, but she was still waiting for me. "Do you ever think you would marry me?" "I think about my future with you, yes." "Would you?" "Of course I would." "You seem like you hate weddings." "You're so observant. But you need to sleep." "I think I'll go back to Hogwarts in a few days." "Why?" "You said that once you do your final task which is in two weeks, I'm going with you." "You pay attention as well." "So I'll go back in a few days to say my goodbyes." "Are you sure that's a good idea? What if you get too emotional, and you chose to stay there?" "As much as I adore some people there. I would do anything to get away from the place, and be somewhere...where there is a possibility I can be happy." "You promise?" "I won't stay at Hogwarts much longer." "Thank you, darling. Now get some sleep."
After some time she fell back asleep, and I started to drift off with her. It was nice to hug her, and love her during the most difficult times of her life. Because I know how much she deserves the world. I just wish she received it by now, and I'm worried I can't give her that much.
