Kaylee's POV

I walked up to Akshad's dorm and yelled "DUDE WHERE YOU AT?" Nobody answered. "AKSHAD I SWEAR TO NOOT IF YOU DON'T ANSWER ME IMA SLAP YOU." Silence. Silence is all I could hear as I rested my ear on the cold dorm room door. "Fuck you." I said and I kicked the door down. Empty. I saw no one in the dormitory, except for a note thingy taped to the end of Akshad's bed. Weird. I moved closer and saw that it had "Ooops" written on it. With, something red, and it wasn't dry yet. Blood. I tried to take it off so that Akshad wouldn't go in a frenzy if he saw it, and saw smaller writing on the back of the note.

"I'm taking a break"

...what the fuck. This was also written in blood. I was starting to get concerned about this whole situation when I hear Jen calling me. "Kaylee? I need to talk to you." I turned to face her and found her standing in the corridor. "What?"

I heard a slight waver in her voice as she said, "We're the only people in the common room."

Random Fourth Year's POV

I was chilling in Transfiguration class when I saw Professor Dumbledore popping in to talk to McGonagall. I didn't pay much attention, because it was mostly gossip about how Snape is a total dingbat or how Pomona likes my earmuffs, but way too much, one stops caring after a certain point.

But, I saw McG going paper white, and she only got whiter as Dumbledore talked on. After Dumbledore finished, he smiled at all of us and left as if he didn't just make McGonagall lose it.

I tried to smile back, but I felt like a grinning chimpanzee. I turned to Raya, my partner. "Did you see any of that?" She looked back at me tersely and nodded. "Dumbledore was probably telling her about how Sprout-"

"Attention, students!" McGonagall interrupted, putting up her hair in bun. "Hogwarts is going into lock down. Classes are dismissed for the rest of the day and you are not to come out of your common rooms. And as to why all of this is happening, it will be explained later. Move!"

I looked at Raya and she looked back at me. Both of us were confused.

Sharvee's POV

"Okay so, Hogwarts is on as strict lock down as it can be, but we cannot make any affirmations that it will hold, because as Rick said, they're immune to magic. We have to gaurd all the possible entrances." Alex said, spreading a rolled up map of Hogwarts and also Hogsmeade, on top of Miss Maya's coffee table. All of us were here for some planning. By all of us, it meant me, Alex, Carolyn, Daisy, Zara, Miss Maya and McGonagall. It was also 5 in the morning.

"Wait why do you have a map of Hogwarts?" Carolyn asked. "It's obviously for the dramatic effect, Carolyn." I pointed out. "Okay but where did you get it? Did we miss out an exclusive sale of ma-"

"Carolyn." Zara glared at her. "Oops."

"Anyways," Miss Maya pressed in on the awkward silence, "If we do have to guard the entrances, we'll need a few more people than the people there are here."

"What are the Professors for?" McGonagall chided. "Maybe there can be two or three students, Seventh Years, of course, with one of the professors. Or two, fluctuating according to the size of the area,"

"Okay fine, but what about weapons?" Daisy rose from the couch. "We can't use magic,"

"I was thinking of the same thing." Miss Maya frowned. "Maybe cutlery from the kitchens?"

"I doubt the knives will be long enough," Daisy sighed.

"Wait," Alex interrupted my thoughts. "What about the torches around the castle?"

McGonagall raised her eyebrows. "Wait, that's actually a good idea. Though we'll have to duplicate the torches."

"Yeah I know. Also what about Peeves? Will he be able to hold them off too?" Alex blurted, her mind going a mile a minute.

"Obviously. I'll pair up with him and Zara, we'll defend the One Eyed Witch Passage. Let's go," Daisy pulled on her hood and disappeared with Zara.

I sighed and looked at everyone else. "Well, let's get duplicating some torches, shall-" I was interrupted with a very loud bang and I saw the door busrting open.

"Kaylee? Jen?"

Samruddhi's POV

"Are you sure we should be doing this?" Akshad called from the back of the Room Of Requirement.

I pulled my cloak over my head and turned to Ariana's portrait, which lead to the Hog's Head. "Yes,"

The whole of the Gryffindor house seemed excited, though I could see the Hufflepuffs frowning. I was slightly doubting my idea of leading the whole house plus the Hufflepuffs into Hogsmeade to protect the villagers. I turned back. This wasn't a good idea.

"Actually, only the Fifth to Seventh Years should act on this. Anyone younger is too risky," and with that, I heard half the people groan.

I saw Alexa shuffling to the front and coming up to talk to me. "I think only a few people should go. How about you, me, Crystella, Akshad and Nirh?"

"But won't that be too little people?"

Alexa fiddled with the hem of her cloak. "I know, but look at the state of the kids, Sam. They're sleep deprived. They need rest, we could come back to them later. Besides, the other Hufflepuffs you dragged with yourself aside from me will take care of them,"

I groaned too, because I knew I had no choice, I had to say yes. Alexa was right on this one. "Fine."

I cleared my throat, and stood up on a pile of thick books to address the crowd. "Okay, so change of plans again. Only the five of us will be going," I saw a Sixth Year Gryffindor make an obscene gesture at me, "But, we will come back to get the rest of the people. But all of you will have to have enough sleep first. And this is a final decision." The crowd settled down a bit at that, but they were still not fully assured.

"Crystella, Nirh, Akshad? Let's go," I said, running into the passageway, not waiting for them to follow me.
