Sneaking Out

Sharvee's POV

'Psst! Daisy! Wake up,' I said. She grumbled from underneath her pillow, 'Urgh! What is it?' 'Don't you remember? You, me and Chen are deciding to go into the Forest? We have to go and feed the animals inside,' she sat up instantly. 'I'm ready. Let's go,' she said.

We met up with Chen by the entrance of the common room.
'Let's go, I'm ready!' He said as we approached him. Chen was anxious that some teachers might catch us, but that was the least of our worries. Where we were about to go literally screamed danger. There were centaurs, werewolves, acromantulas and whatnot. Even though it wasn't our fist time going inside, I still was nervous. The Forest was out of bounds, but me, Daisy and Chen have been coming here for quite a while now. Me and Daisy take care of ill unicorns since Chen cannot come near. He feeds the Thestrals. Then we go together deeper into the Forest where trees which have wand quality wood are to feed the Bowtruckles.

Me and Chen went together to see the Thestrals. It was really awkward between them after they had kissed but were friends anyways. I can see the Thestrals since I've watched my grandma die. (Before you start flooding the comments, its not real, but kinda) They were gentle creatures, often mistaken because of their looks. They are a very fine example of how beauty doesn't matter.

We reached the same old spot in which Chen tended to Thestrals. Unsurprisingly, they were just about a hundred yards away, probably waiting for him to come. I was really impressed with Chen's whistle skills. That guy sure had a lot of practice. The Thestrals flocked around us and I threw some meat to them. 'So, what happened after the sleepover? I saw Snape looking at you, you know? He just couldn't get his eyes off of you,' he said. 'Wait what? Snape was watching me?' I asked, startled. He laughed. 'Well he likes you, doesn't he?' 'Yeah, but never thought he'd do that.....' I trailed off as I thought if he actually did like me. I threw some more meat to a baby Thestral beside me. He literally inhaled it.

I mean, I liked him since the day he stepped into Hogwarts, which was a year ago. He was just 21. I was wrong in doubting his ability to handle the classroom. He was one of the best but strict teachers I'd seen. I never thought he would like me back. I mean, what are the odds of that? I never thought he would like me back, not since......

No. I don't wanna go back there. I wanted to distract myself. So I asked Chen a question. 'So, what's up with you and Daisy?' He blushed. He petted a Thestral, which he decided to call Hades, before answering. 'I don't know, I did like her. But it was a long time ago, and I have no feelings left for her whatsoever. It felt right, and I did it. I don't intend on doing it again.' MERLIN'S FAVOURITE FLUFFY BATHROBES, he DID like her! But not now.......it was relieving. Daisy already liked Kaylee. It would have been a horrible love triangle. I don't intend to make them drift away. I took a sigh of relief and looked at him and smiled. 'Well, there must be someone you like now, right?' He nodded. 'Yes, but I'll tell you later.' He said. He also looked as if he wanted to ask a question, so I gestured at him to ask me. 'So what's new with you and Snape? I saw you going outside after Adi. And don't lie, I will know if you do,' Oh well. I can't hide stuff from my bestfriends forever. I have to tell him. 'Well, I snuck into Snape's quarters. And yes, I spent the night with him. No, I didn't hook up.'

He looked slightly disappointed at that. 'Oh, okay.' He smiled. 'Let's go back to Daisy. She must be waiting for us.' Oh fuck- I had totally forgotten about Daisy. She must be waiting for us. 'Let's go before she burns the whole Forest,' I said. 'Agreed,' We quickly patted all the Thestrals goodbye, but the baby Thestral, I decided on calling him Pickle, was a bit sad about it. I somehow broke myself from him and turned to Chen. 'Ready?'
'Yeah, let's go,'

We walked quickly, making little talk. I looked here and there, making sure that we were alone, with my wand in my left hand. Everything was blissfully empty. Well, I wasn't lucky one time and don't wish it on anyone. The Manticore (yes, Manticore) was pretty fierce. I got away with it, somehow.

I saw Daisy waiting for us on the edge of the Forest with a cloak on. She had started wearing it every now and then, insisting that she was Snape and even tried to kiss me once. The things we do for embarrassing each other. Snape didn't look too happy either.

After I reached Daisy, she pulled me to the side. 'What took you so long?' She whispered. I smiled. 'Let's just say that we had a little talk. I'll spill everything in the dorm.' Daisy nodded at this and we went back to the magnificent castle which we called home.
