Almost Giving It Away

Adi's POV

Never ever listen to your friend's gossip when you're drinking, like seriously, you can die. I learned that as I choked on pumpkin juice during breakfast in the Great Hall. *cough*
'What?! SNA-' I was about to scream it to whole of Hogwarts when Shreni stuffed my mouth with bread.
'Can't you be quite? Don't yell!' She hissed at me in frustration while Sharvee looked as if she would die from all the blushing.
'So, you're telling me that,' I lowered my voice and moved my head towards them. 'That the Shape thing you all were talking about is this?' I gulped, finding it hard to believe. I mean, dating is okay, but dating a teacher? I'm not sure about it.

'Yep, exactly.' A voice joined us from behind. I almost jumped in fear. My oh my, how many heart attacks am I gonna get today?
'Skull! How many times have I told you to not scare me like that?' I was now used to see a Skull with a swishy black cloak with us all day who had more information about magical beasts than Newt Scamander himself, but somehow when she appeared suddenly, I would lose all my Gryffindor bravery and Chivalry and blah blah blah. 'Hehe, sorry Adi, didn't mean to scare you,' she said while taking a seat beside me. 'What I wanted to say was, our Shovel-chan is in love, that too with your favourite Professor.' She said sarcastically. 'Guys, will you just stop it?' Shovel, I mean Sharvee, said through gritted teeth. 'It's not like we're dating, I mean, I do like him a lot, but we- we aren't dating....' she turned tomato red again. I was amazed at how quickly her face was changing colours, and would've pointed it out if I didn't have our current situation on mind.
'Sharvee you do realise that he's our teacher, right?' I said and I accidentally looked over at the teacher's table and made eye contact with Snape. I quickly focussed onto Shreni's pudding.
'Its not like I can help it,' she almost whispered. 'I mean, he's tall, he always dresses in my favourite color black, he's so, mysterious....'  she sighed. 'Also, he's been very kind to me.' She said dreamily.
Did- did she hit her head? Snape, and kind?  I couldn't help but thinking that saying something would lead to my ultimate death. Shreni giggled. 'Snape has been calling our Shovel-chan for a lot of help and detentions. Though I wonder how dreadful they actually are.' She and Skull burst out laughing and high fived each other while Sharvee looked like she was plotting their murder.
'You guys wait till you get shipped with someone!' She snapped and banged her goblet of pumpkin juice on the table, causing the whole Hall to look at us. 'Well,' Skull said, 'I don't think we're foolish enough to get ourselves shipped or fall in love. Forget love, there aren't any good boys to even look at here.' Shreni and Skull laughed and continued their breakfast, while I nodded and said, 'Yep. Haha. No getting into ships.....' I said while returning to my toast.

Boy, little did I know that I was soo wrong........
