Olive sat crosslegged on the green grass in Oscar's backyard as she listened to him talk about a gadget that he'd been working on recently. They both just so happened to have an off day today, so Oscar had asked Olive to come over to his house to hang out, since they rarely did anything together outside of work.

"So, this gadget is still a work in progress honestly.... but it's called the bubble-inator!" Oscar explained, seated on the grass in front of Olive as he proudly held up the gadget.

"That's really cool. So it makes bubbles?" Olive inquired curiously.

"Yeah, but not just any bubbles. It makes super huge bubbles that last twice as long as regular ones." Oscar proudly said. "Or at least that's what it's supposed to do...." he trailed off as he stared down at the gadget.

Olive giggled extra quietly. It was funny how it was supposedly their day off, yet Oscar still found a way to talk about gadget making.

"Should we test it out?" Olive suggested.

Oscar instantly lit up at her suggestion. "Sure! Let's do it."

They then stood up as Oscar turned the bubble-inator on, large bubbles soon emerging from it and floating up into the air. Olive and Oscar watched in awe as the bubbles floated around them, making the backyard look like some sort of bubbly wonderland.

"Whoa.... That's actually so cool! This is an amazing gadget, Oscar." Olive exclaimed, laughing a little as she smiled widely. Oscar blushed slightly at her kind words, loving to see her happy. But then, one of the gigantic bubbles began floating toward them, soon engulfing them inside of it somehow.

"What just happened?" Olive cautiously questioned Oscar as the two of them just sat cluelessly inside of the hovering bubble.

"I- I'm not sure.... but I think the gadget malfunctioned and now we're trapped in a bubble." Oscar reluctantly admitted.

"W-well can't we just pop it or something?" Olive asked, hoping that Oscar didn't notice her nervousness. The truth was, she was internally freaking out because she didn't like to be in small spaces.... at all. In fact, she had a huge fear of being stuck in small spaces, but was she about to let Oscar know that? No. She didn't want him to think that she was pathetic or something, especially since she was sort of crushing on the scientist, she didn't want him to think any less of her because of her stupid fear.

"Actually.... these bubbles are super strong, so we can't just pop them. We need the bubble-pop-inator." Oscar told Olive, much to her dismay.

Olive sighed. "Do you have the bubble-pop-inator with you....?"

Oscar's nervous laugh gave Olive the response to her question. "No, it's still at the lab. I'll call Otto and he can bring it to us, ok?"

"Ok." Olive said, just nodding a bit as the bubble seemed to be closing in on her.

When Oscar called Otto and explained the situation to him, Otto quickly agreed to help. But there was one problem.... the tube lobby was being cleaned, meaning that no one was allowed to use it for now. So Otto had to walk to get to Oscar's place instead. it was good thing that Oscar's house wasn't too far from odd squad, but it'd still take a while.

Olive dreaded being in this bubble any longer, feeling as though it was getting smaller every second. She tried with all her might to pretend that she wasn't fazed, but Oscar soon realized that she seemed nervous.

"Hey, are you ok Olive?" he asked, concerned.

She tried to fake her best smile as she just nodded, but Oscar wasn't convinced.

"What's wrong?"

"N-nothing's wrong." Olive lied, stammering by mistake. But the frantic look in her eyes gave her away, and Oscar instantly realized what the problem was.

"Oh.... are you.... scared of small spaces?" he asked, unsure how to approach the issue. "Or is it that you're scared of bubbles? Because, that's a thing too, you know." he checked, just to make sure.

Olive sighed. She couldn't lie to him anymore, he'd already figured it out. So she took a deep breath before just blurting out the truth. "Yes. I'm scared of small spaces ok? I know it's stupid, but it's just- I don't know, it's so scary. I feel like the walls are literally closing in on me whenever I'm in a cramped space. And.... and- this bubble is really small." she began to panic a little, trying (and failing) not to freak out.

Oscar didn't know what to do at this point. He'd never seen Olive so scared of anything before, besides pies that is. So, he just did what seemed natural to do in that moment, he reached out and gently pulled her into a hug. Olive didn't really react at first, but soon she relaxed a little and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him back.

"It's ok, Olive. Otto's going to be here soon to get us out of here. It's going to be ok." Oscar attempted to ease her worries as he kept holding her close to him. Olive blushed a bright pink as she temporarily forgot her fears. Her crush was hugging her, and it made her feel as if she was the most important thing in the world.

Their little moment was interrupted though when they heard Otto shout to them.

"Olive, Oscar! I'm here!" he announced, finally showing up in Oscar's backyard with the bubble-pop-inator in hand.

Olive quickly pulled away from Oscar, the blush never leaving her cheeks as she put on her professional facade again. She and Oscar looked down at Otto and that's when they noticed how high off the ground they were. They had to get out of this bubble quick! Before they floated too high up for Otto to save them.

"Otto! Quick, zap the bubble with the gadget!" Oscar yelled down to Otto.

"On it!" Otto shouted back, managing to speedily zap the bubble, making it pop.

Oscar landed on the soft grass, with Olive landing awkwardly on top of him.

"Oops, sorry, Oscar." Olive apologized before laughing a bit, Oscar laughing along with her as she helped him up.

"Thanks for coming, Otto. We owe you one." Olive thanked her partner, but Otto waved his hand dismissively with a light smile.

"Don't worry about it. You two would've done the same for me if I was trapped in a giant bubble." Otto said, chuckling a little at his own joke.

Olive nodded with an amused smile before turning her attention to Oscar. "Thanks for helping me earlier, Oscar. I'm sorry I freaked out so much."

"No problem, Olive. And there's no need to apologize either." Oscar reacted kindly.

Otto was quick to join the conversation as he shamelessly asked, "I saw you two hugging in that bubble earlier. Did you two finally admit your feelings for each other?"

Olive and Oscar's faces resembled tomatoes as they looked at each other. But soon, Olive smiled a little as she felt extra confident some reason. "I may or may not have a crush on you." she admitted.

"Hehe, really? Well, that's good because I may or may not have a crush on you too." Oscar replied with a wink, making Olive giggle.

"How bout we all go get lunch?" Olive suggested, Oscar and Otto instantly agreeing.

"That sounds amazing, I'm sooo hungry." Otto emphasized as they all shared a laugh.

Olive couldn't help but smile as she walked to lunch with her best friend and her crush, elated that Oscar liked her back.
