It was pretty obvious to everyone that Otis wasn't exactly the outgoing type. And that there were a lot of things no one knew about him. No one could quite figure him out, and that was exactly the way Otis wanted it. The less everyone knew, the better. Of course, he never expected her to show up in his life and manage to get closer to him than anyone else could.

Once Olympia came into the picture, it was a totally different story. She quickly became his best friend, and it was hard to keep secrets from her with her being all trustworthy and stuff. But her being so close to him was all the more reason why he had to keep his villainous past hidden from her. He didn't want to hurt her.

Everything ended up turning out fine when she did figure out about him being a former villain, and she eventually forgave him for hiding it for so long. But that's not what happened in the time loop that Otis had gotten stuck in today....

He was simply just returning a gadget to Oona when she dropped one by mistake, sending Otis into a time loop of an alternate universe, in which things were very different. In this alternate universe Olympia felt betrayed when she found out Otis' secret, and she felt that she couldn't trust him anymore. Needless to say, Otis didn't like this one bit.

"How am I supposed to fix this?" he desperately asked Oona as he stood at the lab counter. He figured maybe the Oona in this universe might know a way for him to get back to his universe.

"I don't know if you can. I mean, Olympia's pretty upset." the female scientist hesitantly replied. "And she honestly has a good reason to be, you did kinda lie to her...." she reluctantly added.

"I know, but this isn't how it went in my universe. Can't you tell me how to get back there?" Otis questioned, briefly gazing around the area.

"You're in luck. I happen to be kind of an expert on alternative universes." Oona proudly stated. After Otis described his predicament to Oona, she had come to the conclusion that the only way to escape this alternate universe was for him to fix things with Olympia. Once he gained her trust back and made things right, then he would be sent back to his normal universe.

"But how do I do that? I don't think Olympia wants anything to do with me right now...." Otis trailed off, just hating this more and more.

"Well, that's where it gets confusing.... So listen closely." Oona reacted, handing Otis a gadget. "You need to go back in time so you can fix everything. That way, you can tell her the truth about your past sooner and make things right. That's what this gadget is for. It can take you back in time."

Otis tried to grasp everything she was saying, but he was already narrowing his eyes in confusion. He only understood after she explained it to him three times.

Otis stood in the hall of doors, looking around to make sure the coast was clear before switching the gadget on. In a flash, he was transported back to the first day he and Olympia met, the two of them standing outside, on their way to an office for their first ever mission together.

It worked.

"This is great. We're learning about each other. Secret handshake!" Olympia excitedly said before attempting to do a secret handshake with Otis. Only this time, it was actually successful, since Otis already knew she was going to do that.

"Whoa! You see that? We just met and we already have a secret handshake. This is awesome!" Olympia beamed, her eyes lighting up.

Otis couldn't help but smile himself seeing how happy she was. "Yeah, I guess we just sorta, kinda found it." he reacted.

"So, do you have any other fears? How bout special talents?"

"Um, none worth mentioning." Otis instinctively replied, starting to walk off. He knew that he was supposed to be telling her about his secret past, but he decided that their first day on the squad probably wasn't the best time to admit something like that. Still, he figured maybe he shouldn't be so closed off with her.

So he stopped and turned back around to face her. "But I guess I'm pretty good at dancing. And I like movies." he told her before just walking toward the office building while Olympia trailed behind him and smiled widely at the random facts.

Otis paced around nervously backstage as he waited for Olympia to walk onstage and perform. He had used the time travel gadget to teleport back to Orchid's almost half hour talent show, deciding that he would reveal his secret past to Olympia after the show. He'd tried admitting it to her sooner, but things kept getting in the way. Mainly Ms O yelling for them to go on a mission everytime he was about to tell her....

After running onstage with her and performing their improvised song and dance number, Otis and Olympia happily made their way backstage as everyone cheered.

"That was amazing! Thanks so much for helping me out, Otis." Olympia said, surprising Otis by engulfing him in a hug.

"No problem, partner. You know I'd do anything for you." he replied, blushing as he hugged her back.

She smiled at him as she stepped back. "Thanks, Otis." she said again.

"Hey, um.... there's something that I need to tell you." he reluctantly spoke. Then he proceeded to explain everything to her; that he was raised by ducks, that he used to be a villain, and that he never went to the academy but was personally trained by Ms O to be an agent. To Otis' surprise, Olympia was more surprised than mad about his secret, and she was just glad that he trusted her enough to tell her.

"Wow. It all makes sense now. The fact that you're scared of ducks, the fact that you like plain bread...." Olympia rambled a bit causing Otis to chuckle a little.

"So you're really not mad that I used to be a villain?" he checked just to make sure.

"Of course I'm not mad. You're not a villain anymore and that's what matters. People can change." Olympia stated with a smile that made Otis smile also.

"Yeah." Otis replied simply.

Just then, Otis was teleported out of the alternative universe and back into his universe. He ended up back in the lab, looking around frantically to make sure everything was normal again.

"Did it work?" he asked no one in particular.

"Did what work?" Oona questioned in confusion, looking up from the gadget she was working on.

Before Otis could reply, he saw Olympia walking up to him. "Hey, Otis." she greeted with her usual cheeriness and bright smile. Yup, everything was back to normal.

"Hey, Olympia." he said.

"Are you free to eat lunch with me today? I know you've been kinda busy with backed up paperwork lately." Olympia asked, trying not to giggle at his constant procrastination about paperwork.

"Yeah, I'm free. And actually I was thinking maybe we could go get ice cream together. You know, like on a date." he replied as Olympia blushed. He usually wouldn't have been confident enough to ask her out like that, but something about telling her the truth in the alternate universe made him feel more confident.

"Ok. I'd love to." Olympia reacted happily.

And the two of them headed for the tube lobby hand in hand, smiling like crazy.
