Otis and Olympia were sitting in the break room together, eating orange slices and also some toast, Olympia's bread covered in jelly while Otis' slice was plain just the way he liked it. They had just recently become boyfriend and girlfriend after months of hiding their feelings for each other.
"This is so exciting. Our third lunch break together as an official couple." Olympia randomly commented with a wide smile.
"I didn't know you were counting." Otis reacted, cracking a little smile of his own.
Olympia giggled. "I'm just so excited about it. Ooh, you know what we should do? We should go on a double date! You know, like with another couple. I've always wanted to do that, but obviously I couldn't since we weren't dating until just recently-" she began to ramble, which Otis found adorable just like always.
"But who would we do this double date with?" he asked her.
"We could call Olive and Otto and ask them. They finally started dating each other like three months ago. And the four of us haven't gotten the chance to all hang out together lately, so this'll be perfect." Olympia enthusiastically suggested.
"Aren't they pretty busy with running their squad though? And we're busy too honestly. When would we have time?" Otis skeptically asked.
"We'll just have to make time. It'll be the best day ever, you'll see. I'm gonna call them right now." Olympia reacted, her cheery smile making another appearance as she was already removing her badge phone from her suit jacket, speedily dialing the correct number.
Olive and Otto had agreed to the double date just like Olympia assumed they would. But their busy schedules did require them to be strategic about when they planned to meet up. Eventually they all decided on a Friday where they'd all have a day off work.
When Friday finally arrived, Olympia was excited as ever to see Olive and Otto again, literally squealing as she and Otis waited for them to show up. Otis was much calmer than his partner, but he was just as excited on the inside.
"They're here!" Olympia exclaimed when she saw Olive and Otto coming over.
"Hey, Otis! Hey, Olympia!" Otto happily greeted as he and Olive jogged up to them.
"Hey! Good to see you guys." Olive chimed in, the four agents all sharing hugs and high fives. Professionalism seemed to fly out of the window when they were all together since they were all close friends now.
"So, who's ready to get this thing started!" Otto animatedly asked, earning a laugh from everyone.
They had decided on mini golf as their date idea. It was a pretty sunny day out and they wanted to enjoy the weather. They had planned everything out so that this would be the perfect date.
"Um, is Olive secretly an expert at mini golf or something?" Otis whispered to Olympia since Olive had literally gotten all hole in ones so far.
"She's amazing at pretty much every sport." Olympia replied.
"Yeah, Olive loves sports just about as much as I love soundcheck." Otto added, chiming into their conversation since he loved to talk about Olive's talents.
Just then, Olive noticed lasers in the distance. They were causing a huge ruckus, sending park benches flying and toppling over trash cans, the whole area becoming messy. And Olive knew that could only mean one thing.
"Guys, look! Laser chickens!" she shouted, pointing in the direction of the creatures.
"Looks like mini golf is gonna have to wait. Come on!" Otis urgently said, everyone dropping their golf clubs and getting their gadgets ready as they dashed over to the commotion.
