It was a sunny day out, and Otis and Olympia had just arrived at the bakery, greeted by the baker, who was stuck singing only the lyrics to the happy birthday song. They were also greeted by a hot tub store employee and a greenhouse gardener who had the same predicament.
Ms O had sent Olympia and Otis to solve this odd problem and figure out what was going on, but this time, they weren't the only ones that she sent on the job. They were accompanied by a new, robot agent named "Omega", which the X's had recently introduced into the troop.
Apparently, this mission was supposed to be a test run for the robot, since the X's seemed to be convinced that Omega would be able to do Otis and Olympia's job far better than them. So, doing their best to keep an open mind and ignore the fairly offensive comments of the X's, Olympia and Otis just agreed to try and work with the robot today.
"Ok, so let's see. We have a baker, a hot tub store employee, and a greenhouse gardener, all stuck singing the happy birthday song." Otis noted, Olympia nodding in agreement before speaking.
"Maybe it has something to do with the happy birthday song music sheet." she commented, swiftly whipping said music sheet out of her pocket to look at it.
"What do you mean?" Otis questioned curiously.
"I don't know.... I just feel like maybe-" Olympia's statement was rudely interrupted by omega.
"No. Negative. This has nothing to do with music sheets." the square shaped robot spoke.
"But-"
"No buts. Collect data." the robot ordered, Olympia and Otis sighing as they glanced at each other, both annoyed by omega. They then proceeded to try and ask the Baker questions in order to collect data about the situation, but Omega's robotic voice interrupted them yet again.
"Put those notepads away. There's a computer inside of me where you will monitor the data instead." it said. That's when a little door on the side of the bot swung open. "Get inside." it demanded.
"Um ok...." Otis reacted, pushing away the urge to roll his eyes in annoyance. But when he looked over at Olympia, he noticed that she seemed.... nervous?
"Olympia.... You ok?"
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. I just...." she stammered as she stared down at her hands.
"Get in!" Omega repeated, Otis actually rolling his eyes that time as he and Olympia reluctantly climbed inside of the bot.
It was pretty cramped inside the dark, small space, the miniature computer screen being the only source of light in there. "Are you sure you're ok, Olympia?" Otis quietly asked as he turned his head to face her. "I- I don't know um.... I, I just don't really like being in, in cramped places like this and stuff." she hesitantly replied, tripping over her words and doing her best to keep her cool, though she was freaking out inside.
"Ohh." Otis instantly understood what she was trying to say. She was scared of being in small spaces. And he hated seeing her scared.
Olympia was casting nervous glances around her as she wanted nothing more than to be back in the open space of the large bakery. By this point, Omega was already ranting about the mission, and scolding them for not paying attention, but Otis could care less.
"Omega, let us out." he ordered the robot, it agreeing to do so since they had "reached their destination". Apparently, Omega had calculated that the greenhouse, the hot tub store, and the bakery were all 40 ft. tall, so he took them to the only other building in town that was that same height.
Olympia sighed in complete relief when Omega let her and Otis out. She stretched her arms out once she had crawled out of there, Otis following suit.
