Oprah adjusted her long, curly hair in front of the mirror in her office as excitement bubbled up inside her. It had been a while since she'd seen her partner, O'Donnahue, but today she had finally managed to get ahold of him and they both decided to meet up with each other tonight for dinner. She tried her best to convince herself that this was not a date, but she couldn't seem to ignore the butterflies in her stomach and the blush on her cheeks whenever she thought about O'Donnahue. Still, she attempted to push all of those romantic thoughts out of her head as she got ready for the.... outing.
She smoothed out the non-existent wrinkles in her dress before turning to face Oscar. She had enlisted his help to pick out an outfit.
"How do I look?" she professionally asked him, expertly hiding her nervousness.
"You look amazing as always, Ms O. That dress really suits you." Oscar replied with a smile. "Good luck on your date." he cheerfully added, causing Oprah to sigh.
"It's not a date, Oscar." she stated.
"Then what is it?"
"It's two friends going to dinner to talk and casually spend time with each other." Oprah fabricated. Her explanation didn't even sound convincing to herself. "You should be getting home now, Oscar. The tube operators will be going home any minute now." she said, completely dismissing the 'date' subject.
"Ok, Ms O. Have fun." Oscar reacted, waving to her before heading home.

When Oprah arrived at the rather fancy restaurant that she was meeting O'Donnahue at, she made her way over to their table for two, trying to hide her smile when she saw him already sitting there.
"Hi there, Oprah. It's nice to see you again." he greeted her, and she wanted to roll her eyes at how formal he was being. But instead she gave him a curt nod as she replied, "Same to you, O'Donnahue."
She was about to sit down, but just before she could, O'Donnahue had swiftly stood up and walked around the table to pull her chair out for her, causing her cheeks to turn pink.
"You're here on time I see. That's a new one." Oprah commented as she sat down.
O'Donnahue chuckled lightly, sitting back down in his own seat. "A new one? When have I ever not been on time?" he reacted.
"If I recall correctly, weren't you the one who always used to show up to meetings twenty minutes after they started."
"Hey, that's not fair. Those meetings were always scheduled at an unreasonably early hour." O'Donnahue defensively stated before the two of them dissolved into laughter.
The rest of the night went just like that, talking and laughing and flirting with each other as if they'd never been apart. They both decided that they should hang out more, and they began doing more things together and spending more time together. Everyone who saw them could all agree that they seemed to be dating each other at this point. But of course, Oprah and O'Donnahue would deny that. It was always "No, we're just friends." or "We're just 'hanging out'." or the ever-so-popular "IT'S NOT A DATE!" And even though they were trying to convince everyone (and themselves) that they were nothing more than good friends, there were definitely three people who weren't convinced....
Olive, Otto and Oscar.
"Ok, is it just me, or do Ms O and O'Donnahue totally have feelings for each other? It's not just me, right?" Otto blurted out as he looked at Olive and Oscar.
The three of them had been vaguely discussing this for a couple of minutes as they stood around in the hall of doors. But then Otto decided to directly address the question, an awkward silence filling the space.
