Today was a big day for agent Oscar. It wasn't gadget repair day, which had been last week. And it wasn't lab cleaning day, which had been the week before. And it wasn't gadget fair day either, which wasn't until next week. No, today was a bigger day than all of those other events. It was the day that Oscar was going to work with Dr. O for the entire day.
Why was that such a big deal? Because Oscar had been secretly crushing on Dr. O for months now.
He had actually been wanting to ask her out for a while, but he'd always been too scared. He wasn't sure if she liked him back. And honestly, she intimidated him a little bit more than he'd like to admit.
But spending the day working right next to her was the next best thing he could get to a real date. Oscar was so excited about it that it might as well be a date at this point.
He spent a full ten minutes running around headquarters to try to find Dr. O, until he finally spotted her in the creature room.
"Oh, hey, Dr. O. What are you doing in here?" Oscar said to her, narrowing his eyes in confusion.
"Hello, Oscar. I'm doing some very important paperwork," Dr. O seriously replied, looking up from the papers that she was holding.
"In the creature room...?" Oscar slowly asked.
"Yes," Dr. O saw with a nod. "I do paperwork in different rooms quite often. A doctor should be able to focus an any environment," she added.
"Oh, okay. Well-"
"What's next?" Dr. O loudly said, before leaving the room, not even giving Oscar the chance to speak.
"Dr. O, wait!" Oscar called after her, following her into the hallway, almost tripping when she abruptly stopped and turned back around to face him, his cheeks turning beet red, since his face was now only inches away from Dr. O's.
"Yes?" Dr. O checked, not seeming to have any problem with the close proximity between her and Oscar at the moment.
"Oh, um.... I just- hehe, um," Oscar stammered, his cheeks heating up even more. "I was just going to, um, tell you something," he finally said, taking an awkward step back from her, since he could barely focus while standing that closely to her.
"I'm listening," Dr. O replied.
"Well, Ms. O wants me to work with you today. She said that there's some very important things we need to work on, and that you could use the help of a scientist," Oscar explained.
Dr. O tilted her head to the side in confusion. "That's strange. Ms. O didn't tell me anything about that. All she gave me to do today was a ton of very important paperwork, and she said it's so much paperwork that it might take the entire day to finish it all," she skeptically said.
"Well... that's actually what Ms. O said she wants me to help you with," Oscar enthusiastically claimed, tugging on his lab coat. "She wants to make sure it gets done, since it's so important, and that's why she wants me to help you out."
"Hmm, alright then. I guess we'll be working together today. Follow me," Dr. O said.
"Right behind you. But before we start, can I say it this time?" Oscar asked with an awkward smile.
"I suppose so."
"What's next!" Oscar shouted before grinning. "I've always wanted to do that," he chuckled.
After walking through headquarters for a while, Oscar was becoming confused as to where exactly Dr. O was taking him, but soon, they arrived at their destination.
"The bubble room?" Oscar asked in confusion. "We're going to do paperwork in there?"
"Yes. We need to do a bubble room assessment test to ensure that the bubble room is as safe as it should be. And we need to write down our observations," Dr. O seriously explained before opening the bubble room door.
