"Half of my deen" ~Aiyla

"An daura aure!" Ruha heard, she felt the tears fall as she saw the message from both Na'im and Jamie and heard it from the imam. They are set to embark on a new journey, as husband and wife, as half of each others deen

The girls hugged her before cleaning her up as they heard the old women announce that they should bring her down, her red veil with golden embroideries was covering her head and face and all she could see was the long spiral marble staircase in her fathers family mansion, her heels clicked and as she passed, prayers were showered and so were praises, she held on tightly, her body nervous and tense as she was going to meet Na'im in a closed room

She was stopped in front of the huge double door before it was opened, she had passed the long line of grooms men and brides maids and into the huge living room. The door closed behind her and the she was alone, she knew Na'im was somewhere but she didn't know where, that was until a pair of black shoes stopped right in front of her, his body heat clouding her personal space

He held her chin and made her look up to him, his eyes serious yet holding warmth, filled with love, she averted her eyes, he's no longer anything but her husband, her Jannah lies under his feet "As Salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu" She whispered a reply "Hayaati, look at me please"

She obeyed and got lost in that hypnotizing eyes of his, that's before he engulfed her in a hug and pecked her forehead "you look absolutely stunning Masha Allah, I love you"

She relaxed in his embrace "I love you too"

He had released her and gave her one of his dazzling smiles "we made it hayaati"

Ruha smiled "yeah we did"

"Are you happy?"

"I am Na'im"

He nodded and hugged her again, basking in her warmth "they'll be proud won't they? Of how far we've come"

Na'im nodded "of course baby"

She didn't know how the mood changed 360° but Na'im had moved his head to her neck and started littering kisses, she fought the moan and absolutely became a putty in his hand, he had moved slowly then kissed her, right on the lips, taking her first kiss right there

"Guys, we are coming in" Na'im had released her smirking while she was a hot blushing mess before he turned her around, her back facing his front and his head on her shoulder as he hugged her then entwined their fingers

"Come in"

The door had opened and the brides maids and grooms men filed in, all smiling mischievously, there was a photographer in their midst

After the pictures and the taunts, they were finally done and the groom and the guys left for the reception

*

There was nothing as heartbreaking as the conveyance, especially for the bride. Ruha had been dressed on her clothing and alkyabba as she was taken to the living room where her father figure and mother figure were going to give her her last nasiha

The bridesmaids excused themselves and she was left there with them. Abbey, Ummah, Farhas dad and Amma were there, after the fathers gave their nasiha, the mothers did and soon they led her out of the house. Ruha had hugged her grandmother tightly, not wanting to let go, to face her new scary reality

"You'll be fine Ruha, you are a fighter, make us proud" her grandmother had whipped her tears even if she was also crying and pecked her forehead "May Allah do the best for you my darling, we love you soo much. Jamie, come take her"

"I don't wanna go"

"Yes you do, it was written in your book since the beginning of time, go, that boy has waited years, you'll be fine go and make your family"

"Thank you for everything" she whispered as Jamie removed her hand from around her grandmother and led her out, her aunt had gone upstairs since crying and so had the fathers, only Ummah led her to the door but also let go

She was in tears when Jamie took her to the car "Jamal Ina za ka?"

"First I was a brother" he grinned at the new married man beside him "its time to be a best friend"
