They were all back in Abuja but this time as matured working adults, the meetings are not that frequent anymore, a lot has changed and they were still trying to adapt to the new responsible life
Na'im: I might b leaving d country to Germany for a few days, I've got a contract there
Ruha: now?!
Na'im: I might b talking to u 4rm d jet
Ruha: Na'im, u have already left the country? What d hell? U promised to tell me b4 u leave
Na'im: m still in d country if u look at it
Ruha: Sultan you know what I mean
Na'im: I know but it was unexpected, m sorry, I'll make it up to u d min I come back
Ruha: don't worry much. Safe journey
Na'im: thank you
Ruha slipped her phone into her pocket and sighed. Another few days without him, she was back to the mountain where the memories were firing into her as usual. Its twilight and the view looked absolutely amazing but its not the same, not without him anyways
She's getting too close to him and its affecting her and she knows it too well
She heard the call of prayer and hurriedly went in to pray, after prayer she began to make dinner, boiled potatoes with shreaded meat sauce, one of her all time favorites for them all to eat
The ringing of her phone interrupted her concentration and she picked it up, face time request from Na'im, of course
She picked it and kept it in a way he could see her and continued cooking "Hey Angel"
"Hey"
"Dinner?" He asked watching her
She nodded "yeah"
"What exactly?"
"Boiled potatoes with shredded meat sauce" she replied silently "what did you eat?"
"Sounds yum, nothing just the usual"
She glared at him "and what did I tell you about that?"
"I should eat healthy" he mumbled like a 2 years old kid being scolded by his mother
"Exactly and are you?"
"No, I'm sorry"
She rolled her eyes "I don't want your sorry, I want you to eat healthy, anyways the list has come out, I'm in Abuja for the year but I'm leaving for camp in a few"
"Congrats, I was scared you were gonna be dumped in one funny state"
"Yeah, me too" they spoke from everything to anything until Na'im fell asleep like he usually does, she couldn't hang up, she just kept watching him as his face scrunched up and he began moving, Immediately she saw that, she began whispering a lullaby hoping he will calm down and sleep. Na'im has demons, bigger than hers and she knows, he's still battling them just like her
