"I'm getting married in two months!!!!!" Adda Salma screamed as soon as they accepted her request on houseparty. Ruha cringed at how loud she was "you all must be there, like super compulsory and I'm 100% sure you guys are gonna be here in 2 weeks. Ruha, Ya Kamal and you are coming back together"
Ruha nodded, Ruha and Ya Kamal were in Abu Dhabi which she went to after her masters graduation in Saudi Arabia
"I can't believe its been 3 years!" Yusuf added "I can't wait to come home"
"Same" the others murmured
They spoke some more before hanging up on each other
Ruha sighed thinking of HIM, she misses him, they haven't all met for 3 years but keep in touch but now, now she's going home. Where he might be
She is nervous to say the least, they talk, not much but they kept in touch but it wasn't the same as being face to face
And there was Jamal, who is working as a top software engineer moving from place to place. Muna was in the US for holiday and Farha was back in Nigeria from Egypt
Ruha brought out her phone, it still had the same screen saver, a pic of them all together, smiling, laughing, having fun, a pic of all of them the night before they separated
"We need to start packing" Ya Kamal said "for a few weeks anyway and I have to seek for permission from work"
"Why don't you seek for transfer?" Ruha asked "I mean they have a branch in Abuja right, you could work there and only come here for important stuff"
"Its not that simple, I've already handed in my transfer letter though, I'm praying for it to be approved" he said sitting down beside her
Over the few weeks she has been in Abu Dhabi, ya Kamal and her bonded and now they were somewhat like siblings "good luck"
"You are excited to see them right?" Ya Kamal asked grinning "I know I miss those fools"
"Yeah, same here, for the first time in 3 years we are all meeting in sha Allah" Ruha said
"Yeah, come on let's go shopping for Salmas present, maybe the Emirates mall will have something for us" he suggested standing up and grabbing his keys, Ruha followed him out of the apartment building to his car, its hot as its summer, the perfect season for having a swimming pool
They spent hours going through the shopping mall for the perfect present for Salma and Hafeez. After shopping, they had dinner in a restaurant before going home exhausted
