CODEX: THE KOVENANT IMPERIAL ARMY.

Stormtroopers.

Kovenant Imperial Army Stormtroopers are along the most experienced and often the best soldiers within any given Regiment of the Kovenant Imperial Army.

This men are crack soldiers who have survived years if not decades of military experience to be selected to join the ranks of the Imperial Stormtroopers.

This men represented the very best and most determined soldiers within any given Regiment and they were often used as deadly shock troops as well as the best assault troops available to the Regiment as a whole. Excellent in all manner of combat situations due to retraining and years upon years of combat experience, turning this men into Veteran soldiers.

Recruitment.

Recruitment into the Kovenant Imperial Stormtroopers was strict and very demanding, as only the best soldiers from the Regiment were selected, particularly those who have managed to survive more than a decade or so of combat in the harshest and toughest of battles that the Regiment was sent in. This men would than be transferred out of the unit and sent off towards training camps designed to mold this veterans into superior soldiers.

The basic requirements were that this soldiers were needed to have survived a decade of military service and served in multiple, hard, grinding and tough battles and frequently survived as well as showing loyalty to the Kovenant Empire and physical fitness above average for a regular soldier.

The retraining of this men often lasted for well 8 Months to a year, as the training regime was brutal and was designed so that they can seperate the weakest from the strongest, upon which those who failed were reassigned to their previous units.

Training Involved Urban warfare, Urban assault, as well as training to fight in all manner of combat situations and environments, such as fighting in an open plain or even mountainous regions with proficiency in mind.
They were also trained alongside their alloted squad mates and organised into the usual Squad, however normal strength would be 13 Men, led by a Sargent and an assistant squad leader.

Training also included how to destroy enemy armoured units with as much effeciency as possible. They were also trained in "shock and Awe" assault tactics, in which they will rely upon superior firepower, coordination and momentum to achieve their victories in a smooth manner. Especially when tasked with taking and holding a specific area from the enemy.

They were also trained to fight in the mud, rain, however they also learned night fighting as well as chemical warfare training.

Once training has been completed, this men will have been transformed into a superior soldier when compared to their peers.

Organisation.

Kovenant Stormtroopers were organised into Squads of 13 men each, led by a Squad leader, in this case a Sargent and an assistant squad leader usually a Lance Corporal.

The Squad would be heavily armed, as each squad was designed to have as much firepower as possible in order for their assaults to be effective enough to break through and capture enemy territory and objectives.
The 13 man squad could also be divided into 3 Fire teams if the Tactical situation calls for such a thing to happen. However overall the Squad would still be led by the Sargent witb the fire teams being led by subordinates or the second in command.

The Squad would be equipped with the standard issue, Imperial Lasen-Gewehr, a reliable energy based weapon that fires Red laser bolts to kill their targets.
However, the squad also had no less then 2 MG6 Light laser machine gun. This would give each squad of 13 men the added benefits of having two light but still deadly laser machine guns as part of their arsenal.

However all Stormtroopers were armed with Meltafausts, as they were light and their plasma warheads were powerful enough to destroy most enemy tanks with the exception of enemy Heavy Tanks... This serve as their principle anti tank weaponry.
