Heavy Artillery...

Heavy Artillery Regiments of the Kovenant Empire is the final say in terms of long range Artillery warfare. These Regiments of Heavy Artillery represent a major increase in sheer firepower, range and destructive potential even when compared to most other Artillery ordinances. The Kovenant Empire prides itself with its Heavy Artillery pieces, almost to the point that they have a achieved an infamous reputation among the enemy that the Heavy Artillery is more than capable of matching their own in almost any long range Artillery dual and is supremely deadly againts almost anything in its path.

Heavy Artillery is usually organised into dedicated Heavy Artillery Regiments, which can than support other Regiments with their Heavy guns, in the same manner as how Medium Artillery Regiments function.

These "Heavy Artillery Regiments" represent an exponential increase in destructive capabilities, far more than what Medium Artillery can achieve.

Organisation.

A Heavy Artillery Regiment is organised as such:
• 6 Heavy Artillery Batteries.
(Comprising a main Regimental Battery Command.)

• 1 Very large logistical, supply and maintainence unit.
(This also includes the Regiment's transportation requirements.)

• 1 Combat Pionner Brigade.

• 1 Company of Infantry.
(For security purposes)

• 1 organic L.N. Funker Company.

• 1 Heavy Weapons defence group.
(Mostly Mortars, Heavy Machine guns and Anti tank teams armed with Infantry anti tank weapons.)

• 1 Dedicated AA Company.

• 1, V-7 Rocket group.

...

The overall layout of each Artillery Battery is as follows.

1st - 2nd Artillery Battery:
• 500, 155mm Heavy Artillery Guns.
• 500, V-6 Heavy Rocket platforms.
(Per battery)

3rd - 4th Artillery Battery:
• 200, 155mm Heavy Artillery Guns.
• 200, V6 Heavy Rocket Platforms.
• 600, 203mm Heavy Artillery guns.
(Per battery.)

5th - 6th Artillery Battery:
• 50, 240mm Heavy Field Artillery guns. (Per battery)

...

155mm Heavy Railgun Artillery.

The 155mm Heavy Artillery Railgun is one of the more common forms of Heavy Artillery pieces available to the Kovenant Empire's Heavy Artillery Regiments.

It is a towed Artillery piece, however, it can also be mounted upon a tank chassis to make it self propelled Artillery.

It has a maximum effective firing range of 110 - 120 kilometers. A massive, increase in striking range when compared to Medium Artillery pieces.
And thanks to advanced targeting computers, Railgun tech, target acquisition and a central targeting computer system, the 155mm can hit targets with a solid degree of accuracy and with a devastating ammount of firepower as a result.

The 155mm can also be used to fire continuously. Like it's cousins in the light and Medium Artillery, the Railguns can be overcharged at the cost of a significantly shortened barrel life span.
Additionally, the Heavy Artillery shells are loaded in via a conveyor belt from a nearby ammunition carrier vehicle... But the shells can be loaded individually by soldiers wearing Exoskeletons.
