Dalgona Coffee:
-1 cup ice
-80 mL (1/3 cup) milk
-30 mL (2 tbsp) hot water
-15 mL (1 tbsp) instant coffee
-15 mL (1 tbsp) sugar
Sweetened Matcha:
-30 mL (2 tbsp) water
-15 mL (1 tbsp) sugar
-2 mL (1/2 tsp) matcha
Instructions:
Make Dalgona Coffee: Combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water in a tall container and whip until soft peaks form. A handheld milk frother makes it super quick and easy to whip in seconds. The instant coffee will triple in volume and the color will change to a very light brown. Peaks will form in the frothed coffee.
Make Sweetened Matcha: Combine matcha, sugar, and water and whip together. Rinse the handheld milk frother and use it to mix until you don't see any matcha clumps. This should take no more than 30 seconds.
Assemble Drink: Pour sweetened matcha into a cup. Add ice. Be careful to add the ice in slowly to prevent the matcha from splashing around.
Add milk. Slowly pour milk directly on top of the ice instead of the matcha to keep the layers separated.
Spoon dalgona coffee on top. The dalgona coffee is light and fluffy so it'll site nicely on top of the milk and ice. Stir before drinking.
