The walk back to camp was utterly silent. I walked a little bit in front of Bellamy and Clarke ahead in front of me. I slowed my steps, causing me to walk side by side with Bellamy.
I grabbed his hand just out of pure reaction, but when I realized it, I didn't pull away. Bellamy looked at me; he seemed confused? Happy? Upset? I couldn't decipher the look on his face.
"It'll be okay, Bellamy." I reassured him. Bellamy didn't say anything; we just continued to walk.

From the long and tiring walk back to camp, I didn't even notice that it had become pitch black outside, but it did. So the fire in the middle of the camp could not be missed. Clarke started giving orders to Finn, but I didn't listen; I wasn't in the mood to listen.
At some point in time during the walk, Bellamy traded places with a kid carrying the makeshift stretcher we made to bring Atom's body back to camp. I was thinking about the little encounter we had, it made me smile, but that got pushed aside quickly when Bellamy ordered a random girl walking by, "Get Clarke whatever she needs."
"Better go get this grave dug up." Wells said quietly to both Bellamy and me.
I saw Octavia approaching us, and I tried to stop her by blocking her path. "Hey, Octavia, can I talk to you?"
"Uh... in a minute." She answered, pushing past me.
"Octavia, just stay there. Please stay back." Bellamy also tried to stop Octavia, but his attempts failed. She pushed past him going over to the stretcher, and kneeled next to it.
"Octavia, just wait a second." I pleaded with her. I had heard that she and Atom kind of had a thing going on, so I knew this would be hard for her.
Octavia just brushed me off and went to uncover what was under the jacket someone had placed there. "Atom." She gasped out, looking at him.
Bellamy looked down at Octavia. "There's nothing I could do."
Octavia raised her hand to hush Bellamy. "Don't."
She covered Atom's face and quickly got up to leave. "Octavia..." I tried to get her to stop, but she again pushed past Bellamy and me.
"It'll be okay." I told him. "She'll see that it wasn't your fault, and it'll be fine."
"Nothing about this is fine!" Bellamy snapped at me and I was taken back by his tone. We all had a rough day, but he didn't need to take it out on me.
John slowly walked up to us. He came up to me first and hugged me, I hugged him back, but something felt off. As we pulled back I whispered, "I'm glad you're okay."
"Lose anyone here?" Bellamy asked him more calmly than he was just seconds ago with me.
