As always, Clarke's plan was one that I had to admit was pretty damn good. It was elaborate and required perfect timing and actions to be properly executed. The first part of the plan was Jaha walking into the building where Roan was being treated and where Echo was. Jaha was bringing them what they'll think's Ontari's body, but in reality, it's Octavia.

So far, our plan had been going well. Echo and Callan were drawn outside, away from the king, allowing Octavia to kill the guards and open the door for Abby and Clarke so they could save Roan. And while they did that, the rest of us, our job was to make sure that we distracted Echo by discussing the terms and conditions of our surrender long enough to buy time for the Mother-daughter duo to save Roan so he could act on the promise he had made to Clarke.

Darkness had fallen upon the city of Polis, and torches were lit up all across the streets. If we weren't in the situation we were in, I might've actually taken the time to admire the city's beauty. But unfortunately, we had more pressing matters, like Indra informing Bellamy about Echo so he would be more aware when talking to her because she told Jaha that she'd only speak to Bellamy.

Most of the stuff Indra was saying to him was going in one ear and out the other; his eyes kept flickering over to Echo, and every time he did so, I could see the resentment covering his face for what she did at Mount Weather.

"She's Ice Nation. She can't be trusted." Indra continued.

"Never a dull moment, huh?" The voice of my brother had both mine and Bellamy's heads turning away from Indra to him as he walked in our direction.

"Bellamy, pay attention." Indra chastised, the older Blake turning his head back to her. "She's part of the royal guard, spies. That's why she's not marked—"

My eyebrows furrowed, head turning to Indra. "Is Callan the same? Is he a spy? Is that why he doesn't have any markings either?"

"Not that I know of." Indra answered, eyes flickering from me back to Bellamy. "She's very dangerous, very loyal."

Bellamy turned his head to the side, with his hardened gaze trained on Echo. "Not to the people that saved her life."

"Bellamy, I know how you feel about her, but you can't lose control." Said Kane.

"Remember, all you're doing is buying time." I spoke up, peering up to him, attempting to send a reassuring look his way, knowing that he was less than thrilled about the fact he had to speak to Echo.

"You offer them technology, guns. Whatever it takes to keep her talking. Is that clear?"

"I didn't agree to give them guns." Indra said in response to Kane.

"Well, that's probably because you're not an idiot." John commented.

A small glare had made its way onto my face when looking at my brother. "John—"

"It won't get that far. Our objective is to buy time for Abby to save the king." Kane interrupted before looking at my brother with a pointed expression. "And if you want to help, grab a weapon, stand a post."

"Take mine." Bellamy lifted the rifle slung around his shoulder, handing it to John, who took it with a nod. "I got this."

Bellamy's eyes looked down to meet mine, full of worry and unease. "Please just be safe. Don't do anything to piss her off because I want you back in one piece."

Bellamy nodded, reminiscence of a smile forming on his face. "One piece. I think I can handle that."

A small smile formed on my lips as he turned on his heel and began walking towards Echo. All the Azgeda warriors began to clamor at Bellamy's arrival, all murmuring and creating a path that led to where Echo stood. As Bellamy slowly sauntered up to her, his head went around to all the buildings where warriors were clearly visible with weapons ready to kill him if told to do so.
