PART 2

⭐"Learn to say; that's on you. Your behaviour is on you. The choices you make are on you. The way you live is on you. Stop absorbing the pain of other people. Recognize what belongs to you and what doesn't"⭐

This morning, Lorie is adorable. She looks so cute in her uniform. She's radiant, as always when she's the centre of attention.

Her angelic smile is back on her face as she twirls around her brothers. Only Peter's missing this morning. I'm touched by such family togetherness. Their discussion is very lively, around the breakfast table. Lorie is full of enthusiasm about her first day at school.

I remain a little withdrawn, looking on, but I feel good. I'd almost forgotten what these simple moments of everyday life were like.

Nicolae gives the little girl a tender look.

Nicolae: "I hope you'll like the school, don't forget to tell us everything, when you come home..."

Lorie: " Promise!"

Drogo: "If you don't like it, then we'll find you a better school..."

Lorie: "No, I know already that this one is going to be fantastic!"

Drogo: "Or we'll keep you at home and we'll get you a moronic tutor!"

Lorie pouts.

Lorie: "I won't be able to make friends if I stay home!"

Drogo: "We'll rent some!"

For one thing, I wasn't expecting that! How could he be so cynical? She's just a child... That said, with a brother like that, Lorie's unbearable behaviour is a little more understandable!

Nora: "There's no reason for it to go wrong. If you're nice, you'll make lots of friends!"

Lorie: "I'm always nice!"

But of course!

Drogo lets his arm fall over the back of Lorie's chair and winks at her.

Drogo: "Don't listen to her! Anyone can see that she knows nothing about popularity!"

What a big head! What is his problem!?

Nicolae: "Stop that, Drogo, your behaviour is really tiresome..."

Drogo puts on a provocative attitude and stares at him unblinking.

Lorie: "I think it's funny..."

What a pain!

Nora: "It's almost time... You should go and put on your coat..."

Lorie scowls.

Lorie: "Not yet!"

Nicolae pushes away his still full cup of coffee and gets up.

Nicolae: "Lorie put on your coat."

Lorie: "Okay."

She jumps out of her chair laughing before running to the hall.

No, I can't believe my eyes!

Nicolae notices my irritation and whispers softly:
