“So many people love you. Don’t focus on the people who don’t.”⭐

I arrive a little early on campus to make up for my tardiness yesterday.

I asked Sarah to meet up before class for coffee and a chat. She was thrilled with the idea.

When I show up with cups of the black nectar we're both addicted to, she almost jumps on me.

Sarah: "You're a sweetheart! We should do this more often!"

Nora: "I wish I could. But, it's not easy with my job."

Sarah: "Yeah, I get it. But you're exhausted and it shows! If you're getting a lot of sleepless nights, you need to find some time to relax."

Nora: "Agreed! I'm going to stop getting lost in books late at night. Or I won't last the semester!"

Sarah: "Yes! You were as grumpy as a bear with a sore head yesterday!"

Nora: "Okay, I wasn't at my best..."

Sarah: "That's the understatement of the year!"

Nora: "It was that Samantha's fault! She totally ruined my day! You saw her!"

Sarah: "It's because you're new. You'll get used to her and her antics soon enough. Just leave her to it. She's got her little groupies, but don't worry, everyone knows how it works. Anyone with any sense stays away from her as much as possible!"

Nora: "Still... I really don't think I deserved all that crap."

Sarah: "The problem is, you've caught Loan's eye. And she's not gonna forget that anytime soon!"

Nora: "Awesome! So I have to tolerate all that BS, just because her boyfriend's into me?"

Sarah takes a big sip of coffee and gives me a sly wink over the brim of her cup.

Sarah: "That's the price of popularity!"

Nora: "I could do without it! There's got to be some way I can get her to leave me alone."

Sarah: "Just make sure she understands you haven't fallen for her big, fat jock boyfriend."

Nora: "She can get lost. I don't have to justify myself to her."

Sarah: "It's just a way to get her off your back!"

All of a sudden Sarah's got a naughty little look on her face.

Sarah: "Or, you do exactly what she did to you. You find her in a public place... and you humiliate the hell out of her."

I shake my head, trying to find a better idea.

Nora: "No, I can't out bitch the biggest bitch in school."

Sarah: "Yeah, you got a point there..."

I sigh.

Nora: "But I can't have her spoiling my fun! I feel like avoiding campus so I don't run into her."

Sarah: "Pay her no mind... She's just a nasty piece of work."

Nora: "I know but I can't get past it!"

Sarah: "Honestly, she's like a little yappy dog. All you have to do is be firm with her and she'll move onto someone else."

Nora: "I don't know if I'm up to it..."

Sarah: "Um... I don't know. I feel like there's a mysterious force hidden inside you..."
