Back at the house, I'm excited. I haven't been out to have fun since my parent's death. I know it's going to be good for me.

I choose my outfit with great care and take the time to comb my hair, and do my make up.

Lorie comes into my room. I catch her eye and immediately see that something's wrong.

She sits down on the bed, dragging her awful teddy behind her, and looks at me sulkily.

Nora: "What on earth's the matter!"

Lorie: "I can't understand why you're going out!"

Nora: "Well, because I have a free evening, and I'm going out to enjoy myself a bit!"

Lorie: "But that's not fair, you're paid to take care of me, so you can't go out!"

I finish putting on my earrings, then sit down next to Lorie.

Nora: "I look after you all week. I have the right to have a day off and one or two evenings free."

Lorie: "Nah, you're not paid to go out and have fun."

She can be a real pest when she puts her mind to it!

I get up to grab my jacket and bag.

Nora: "That's the way it is Lorie. You'll have to put up with it!"

The child scowls and crosses her arms around the "adorable" cuddly toy. She can be so annoying when she tries to get attention!

I look at my watch and see that Lorie's making me late.

Nora: "I have to go, I'm sure you'll have a lovely evening with your brothers."

Lorie: "I hate you!"

Here we go again!

Lorie: "I hate you and I don't want you to come back, you don't care about me!"

Nora: "That's not true and you know it! I spend enough time with you and I take care of you! Only, I won't be your puppet, Lorie! Whether you like it or not, I'm going out tonight!"

Lorie: "I hate you, hate you, hate you!"

Now she's really playing up! I can see Nicolae through the gap in the doorway. Lorie has the annoying habit of never closing it behind her.

Another annoying thing...

Nicolae: "Is everything okay, ladies? We can hear you bickering from the other end of the corridor."

I'm counting on Nicolae to get rid of the little pest...

Nora: "Lorie isn't being very nice. I think she's angry that I'm going out."

Lorie: "It's her fault, she's a nasty person, and a bad nanny!"

Nicolae: "Lorie, what did we say about respect and tolerance towards others?"

Lorie: "But it's her who..."

Nicolae: "Lorie, calm down now!"

She huffs and stares at me dangerously, even more furious than before.

Lorie: "But I'm going to be alone and she doesn't care!"

Nicolae: "Don't be silly, come on. You won't be alone because I'm spending the evening with you."
