⭐“You still haven’t experienced all of your happiest moments.”⭐
__This week's gone by crazy fast. I'm going to the frat party tonight. I hope to meet some new people and have a whole lot of fun.
I choose my outfit really carefully. I don't want to look too trashy... but not too uptight either.
On my way downstairs, I run into Nicolae.
Nicolae: "Are you leaving already?"
Nora: "You got it! I can't keep them waiting!"
Nicolae: "You should have left before nightfall..."
Nora: "Don't worry! Sarah won't leave my side."
Nicolae: "You can call me anytime, okay?"
Nora: "I won't be doing that. I'm a big girl..."
Nicolae: "I know, but..."
Nora: "Bye Nicolae!"
And I sneak out without looking back. Sarah is pacing up and down in front of the house.
I try to think of a good excuse but I can't find one.
Sarah: "Are you messing with me?"
Nora: "I'm sorry! I tried on, like, five outfits before I made up my mind."
Sarah: "Is this your first ever party or what?"
Nora: "Of course not, but I wanted to look nice."
She softens up a little.
Sarah: "You look great!"
We set off. On the way, we chat about our week, our classes and our teachers.
I explain that I'd really like to get out and explore the city again and the whole country even. We agree to organize a couple of trips when our schedules don't clash.
I feel like we've been friends forever... but we've only known each other a couple of weeks, at most.
When we arrive on campus, I am surprised to find that the grounds are in total darkness.
It seems a lot of the streetlights are out of order.
I can almost imagine a masked guy coming out of a bush and jumping us with a chainsaw! I really need to lighten up!
Suddenly, I hear footsteps! I am even more alert now!
I grab Sarah's arm and place my finger over my mouth to silence her.
She frowns and her body goes rigid when she hears the same thing I do. We're both scared. I curse myself for leaving the house so late.
I turn around and try to look through the semi-darkness, hoping to see who - or what - it is.
I let out an exasperated grunt as soon as I understand what's happening.
Nora: "Damn it, Drogo! You scared the living daylights out of us. You can't go sneaking up on people like that!"
He's still got that ridiculous grin stuck to his face.
Drogo: "It's not safe for a pretty little thing like you to be walking around so late at night. What if you were to run into a wolf?"
His eyes sparkle. He knows exactly what's running through my mind.
I bet he's planned all this.
Nora: "You didn't tell me you'd be here."
