There was a whole you before them and there will be a whole you after them.”⭐

As we come out of the room where our last class took place, Sarah's trembling with impatience.

Sarah: "I thought the day would never end."

Nora: "You're joking, right, we've only had three classes today, and you're already fed up?"

Sarah: "I love college but classes are so boring. Outside of that, the atmosphere is unique, nothing can match it!"

I think I've never met anyone like her before: nice, funny and slightly out of the ordinary.

I follow suit and add jokingly:

Nora: "It's gonna have to last for at least another ten months."

Sarah: "That's why we need to get a little fresh air once in a while. We need to take our minds off things."

Nora: "What are you suggesting? Something tells me you already have something in mind."

I walk towards the bus stop listening to Sarah's latest fancies.

Sarah: "How about going for a drink, Saturday night?"

Nora: "Uh... I don't know."

Sarah: "Oh, come on, it'll be good for you to get out a bit and discover the town!"

Nora: "Okay, I'll tell you later."

Sarah: "Perfect, but not at the last minute, ok?"

Nora: "Do you know where to take me already?"

Sarah: "Actually, I have several places in mind!"

Well, that promises!

Around us, students come and go. Sarah says hi to a great many of them. I envy her a little for feeling so at ease.

For my part, I still have everything to do. But I trust her to introduce people to me and help me find my place.

This first day leaves me with a mixed impression... Many mysteries linger around this university and the Bartholy family...

Drogo's behaviour is one of my main problems. I don't know what to do with him.

Becoming his friend seems impossible, and avoiding him as equally unlikely, given that we both live under the same roof.

Sarah: "You seem very thoughtful?"

Nora: "I was thinking about Drogo..."

Sarah's gaze darkens at once.

Nora: "We don't get along very well..."

Sarah: "Allow me to give you a piece of advice: stay away from him as much as possible."

Nora: "I'm still gonna try talking to him."

Sarah: "And why not just ignore him, instead? It'll teach him!"

Nora: "I don't know, it won't stop him from taunting me. There's no way I'll let him have the last word!"

Sarah: "Okay, so it's more complex than I thought, between you."

If she knew! I can hardly explain, that on top of irritating me, he transforms me into a small weak and feeble thing as soon as he touches me...

She would think I'm crazy!

Nora: "Yeah... I'll have to have a discussion with Nicolae about my hours off. The young girl, Lorie is, how to put it... absorbing..."
