Not An Easy Job

Carina's POV
"Here" I said as I handed Mia a bottle of water
"No no" she said as she refused on getting the water
"Bambina you need to take the water trust me" I said as I kneeled down knowing Maya would be here any second now
"I can't" said Mia since her stomach was quite turned upside down
"I know" I said softly "just take small sips" I indicated as I began to listen to footsteps and in seconds Maya's figure was standing at the kitchen door still in her pijamas

Maya's POV
I woke up some minutes before my alarm and noticed carina wasn't in bed with me. I walked over to Mia's room to check up on her and she wasn't in there either. What the fuck. I though as I noticed the light in the kitchen
As I walked in I found Mia sitting down with red puffy eyes and Carina offering water. I was still kinda asleep couldn't understand much what was happening. Until I did.
"What the?" I asked as I walked in looking at Mía noticing her hangover face.
"Maya" said Carina as she stood up
"You're drunk" I said in a stern tone "you're fucking drunk Mia" I said
"Maya. Maya" said Carina trying to walk me outside
"No no, she is fucking drunk. The only thing I told you. I had two fucking rules Mia!" I yelled "no drinking and being home before curfew! And you? You broke both of them" I said
"Maya I'm sorry" she said picking up her face
"I don't want to listen to it. Clear?" I said knowing I was boiling up in rage "I don't want to listen to it. I don't wanna see you either." I said "get out of my sight and forget about going out again!" I said as she struggled to get up and began walking over to her room
"Maya" I heard Carina saying
"She's Is drunk. Drunk carina" I said as I turned around to face the kitchen
"I know. I know. That's exactly why that's not the moment to yell or snap at her. I mean it makes no sense you yell at her now when she's in this state." She said "she's not even recalling a single word you're saying"
She was damn right. Just, I couldn't find another way of reacting.
"How did ir happen?" I asked as I poured coffee
"I woke up, saw her light on and as I walked into her bathroom I found her on the floor." Carina explained
"Did she..?" I began being interrupted
"Yes" said Carina "she was also frozen up, I got her into the hot water, just kinda afraid she might catch a cold"
Argh. How could she had been so stupid. So so stupid.
I nodded and said "thank you. You really didn't had to.." I said and was interrupted once again
"Maya." Smiled Carina "you're my family. Which makes her my family. Okay? You don't have to thank me"
"I love you" I said
"I love you" she said as she kissed my cheek

Carina's POV
Maya was still boiling anger. I mean, I was quite surprised too but, she's a teenager. Not that it's the correct way of acting. Course not, but it isn't something that strange.
I knew Maya would have reacted in the wrong way.
Last time I checked on Mia she was sound asleep on her bed. Still quite cold.
Both of us headed over to work and would come back as usual. And Mia she better get ready cause Maya wasn't gonna come easy on her.

Maya's POV
I drove over to work still with stuff bouncing up and down my head. As I parked I met Andy at the parking lot.
"Woah. What I face" she laughed as we walked in
"Well yeah. When they say teenagers aren't easy. Not kidding" I said
"Did something happen?" She asked surprised
"Last night. Senior party. I'll let you make your conclusions" I said
"Someone came in drunk I guess" she said
"Bingo" I Nodded
"Well yeah. That sucks." Said Andy
"The only. Only thing I told her" I said
"She's a teenager Maya. Half of the things you tell her don't get to her brain" said Andy "it's awfully maddening but it's true facts"
"argh. You sound like carina" I said
"The Italian knows how to handle this?" Andy asked
"Better than anyone. And I suck at it" I admitted
"Come on. You just need to get the hang of it" smiles Andy as we walked into my office

Carina's POV
Had quite an easy day. More paperwork than anything.
I drove back home and saw Maya's car parking at the doorway.
Thanks god I got there or she would have cook Mia up
"Hey" she smiled as she turned around to place a kiss on my lips
"Hello Bella" I smiled "you smell like smoke" I laughed and we walked in
"Yeah. I better shower" she smiled and walked into our room
I walked into the kitchen and found Mia on the table with her laptop.
"Hello bambina" I smiled
"Hey carina" she said weakly
"Studying?" I asked
"Yeah. Just finishing a report" she said as she smiled weakly.
She did look quite weak compared to what she usually was.
As I walked over to the kitchen I asked
"You feeling okay?" As I placed my hand over her forehead "Bella you feel quite warm" I said
"No, no. It's okay" she smiled as she closed her laptop and asked "Maya is she?"
"She's getting showered she should be out any minute now." I said despite I was quite concerned "Mia you sure you're okay?" I asked
"Yeah. Yeah. No worries. Thank you Carina" she said as she walked out of the Kitchen.
I remembered Maya telling me something about not being allowed to get sick back home. Her father wouldn't allow them to fall down sick.
Wouldn't be surprised if the same rule applied to Mia.

Maya's POV
Love not to smell like smoke. God I was starving
I walked into the kitchen to find Carina making dinner. Hell yes.
"Oh yeah" I smiled as I walked over to her
"Smoke free?" She laughed
"Smoke free" I said as I walked over to the fridge "seen Mia?" I asked
"Yeah. I have" said Carina "she's probably in her room"
"Alright then" I said as I took a bottle of water and made my way out of the kitchen
"Maya" I heard Carina's voice
"Yeah?" I asked
"Just..." she said trying to find the correct words "breath okay?" She smiled and I nodded.
I made my way to her room and knocked on the door and walked in. She was laying in bed almost asleep.
"Mia" I said as I got closer and she slowly opened her eyes
"Sit up" I said and she quickly did so "I'm not here to yell okay?"
"Cause you already did that this morning" said Mia
"Yes. Do I need to go again?" I said shutting down her tone
"No you don't" she said as she turned off that tone with me.
"Can you tell me why on gods name you did exactly what I explicitly told you not to?" I asked
"Im so sorry Maya. Just. Everyone was drinking I felt completely out and I just. Im sorry" she said
"You perfectly now. You never do something it's wrong just to fit it. You're better than that Mia" I said
"I know. Im. Im sorry" she said
"I know you are." I said "but you're grounded. Three weeks" I said
"But.." she began
"I...- I don't want to listen to it okay? Just. Get your homework done" I said as I closed the door behind me and met Carina outside
"Didn't listen to any yelling" she said
"I breathed" smiled as I hugged her
