It had been days since the initial confession. Kaeya is getting better and better as the sun rises and sets. Each and every day, Albedo never missing a visit. But he also focuses on his work, while doing it he seems just a little bit happier. Even his peers around him, especially Sucrose had taken notice of it.

He had vowed to not tell a soul of what had happened in the depths of Dragonspine. No one, other than Master Jean and Lisa had pried him of information. Other than that strange encounter with the Abyss, nothing had happened again. Albedo would take note of his progress with the markings on his back. Looking in the mirror he can see that they've started to run down his arm.

He sighs and covers them up, he knows it's still there but he doesn't want to dwell on it. Not when someone awaits him who makes him happier than he could ever be.

He opens the infirmary door to find Kaeya standing, there were instances where he would but usually, he would get right back into bed. But this isn't the case since Klee is standing right next to him.

"Albedo!" Klee can't help but exclaim. She runs into his arms hugging him tightly. Kaeya chuckles a little and ruffles her hair, "You little ball of flames, c'mere!"

He scoops her up and she laughs out loud with the brightest smile on her face, "WEE!!"

Albedo feels relief in the sight. If Albedo hadn't realized it, he's fallen head over heels for this man. It's that sort of mystery about him, the unpredictability of his words and actions, the way he's endearing but teasing at the same time. He's finally let himself have this, and he's angry at himself for not taking it sooner.

Kaeya is wonderful. If Albedo was a poet, he could write a million poems but still wouldn't find a single word that could describe the feeling he gets when Kaeya just looks at him. But he isn't a poet.

"Albedo?" Klee ponders at him. The Alchemist is shaken out of his thoughts and he collects himself, "Yes Klee?"

"I wanted to go to the Windblume festival tomorrow but you weren't listening," A visible pout can be seen on her face. Albedo can't help but smile at her, "I couldn't say no if I tried."

Her face completely lights up, "You hear that Mr. Kaeya?! We're all going! I have to tell Miss Lisa and Miss Jean!" And she's gone within the minute, only the wind is left behind.

"What a little sister you have," Kaeya says, his smile never leaving his face. "How lucky am I to have her," he mutters, leaning into Kaeya's touch.

Kaeya kisses the top of his head and pulls him closer, "Windblume huh? I never do too much for it but maybe this year I'll put in a little bit more effort."

"Is this your way of saying you're too lazy to celebrate? I would think you of all people would love such events as this," The Alchemist raises one eyebrow and says it in such a teasing manner. The Captain has really rubbed off on him, what a world they live in.

Kaeya laughs, "I just get some free booze but I don't do anything traditional. But maybe just this once." He winks at Albedo and pulls away.

The loss of body heat is making Albedo just want to latch onto him again and Kaeya giggles, "No need to be a leech, your highness~"

The nicknames that Kaeya spew out have been worse and worse as the days go by. Although, it's just who he is, even if Albedo thinks they can be a bit corny.

"I am no such thing," Albedo huffs out. The Captain pulls him in again, much closer this time. "Is this better?"

"More so, yes."

Albedo has to lean upon his tiptoes to even reach Kaeya, but Kaeya meets him halfway. They kiss, it's short and sweet but it's something that they both would want to last forever.
