Albedo is focused, taking the both of them up and out of Dragonspine. Kaeya breathes in the warm air, the air that's always familiar. He smiles, "This is getting a little repetitive, it feels like I've almost frozen a bajillion times. Do you really have to work up here?"
"Don't go whining on me now," Albedo sighs, "But you are right, this doesn't seem affective at all."
Albedo grips his hand, "Do you feel a little warmer to walk?"
"If you hold my hand the whole way I should be perfectly fine," Kaeya laughs. But the Captain is only half joking, holding Albedo's hand is him being self indulgent.
And so Albedo doesn't let go, "I seem to be indulging you more than I should."
They easily make their way to Mondstadt, passing through the small alleyways to avoid unwanted gazes. If anyone got close, Kaeya would shield Albedo away. It wasn't too difficult though, everyone in Mondstadt usually keeps to themselves.
So the two men make it to the Headquarters without much trouble. Dashing to Jean's office as quickly as possible.
"How many times did I tell you to knock Lisa- oh," Jean stares up at the two men.
"Apologies, we aren't Lisa." Albedo replied.
"Yes, I see. It's good that you're here, I wanted to discuss to you about the Abyss situation," she stops for a moment, her gaze shifting to his neck then to his arms, "What... happened to you?"
Kaeya takes in a sharp breath, bracing himself to explain but Albedo cuts in before he could utter a word, "I've been cursed, Master Jean."
As ever Albedo is very blunt, regarding business related matters especially. Jean appreciates it most of the time but she's really taken aback with this statement. "Is it reversible? What are the affects? Is it harmful to you or could it harm the people of Mondstadt?" She's speaking quickly, anxiety seeping into every question.
"Jean, please let him explain," Kaeya's voice is toned down, to let her breathe for a moment. She takes a moment, before letting Albedo continue.
"The Abyss did not create it, when they had attacked they only wanted to enhance it. I am putting all my time into finding a cure, the state of my body worsens by the minute as you can see. It doesn't harm me per say but it tires my body, getting mood swings and such."
She notes everything down on paper but she pauses, "Will this hurt the citizens of Mondstadt?"
Her face is focused, unmoving and waiting. This is the only question that she cares about, the well being of the people she protects.
"I-It..." Albedo looks down, he can't lie. Not to the Acting Grandmaster.
Kaeya holds his hand, slipping his fingers between his as if to say 'It's okay, you have me here.'
"Yes... there might come a time that I lose control... and that could cause Mondstadt to fall. That is only if I don't eradicate it."
There is silence in the office, an uncomfortable silence. Then Jean gets up, walks over to Albedo, "Thank you for the honesty Chief Alchemist, please leave my office."
Albedo feels her mixed emotions feeding into his soul, so he leaves just as quickly as he came. Kaeya following behind him before she stops him, "I would like to speak to you Kaeya."
The Captain looks down at the Alchemist but he only nods, giving the approval that it's okay. Kaeya let's Albedo go and ends up alone in the office with Jean.
To be frank, Kaeya didn't know about that detail about the curse. How will Albedo lose control? How could he hurt others when he's this incredibly sweet person? It nags at Kaeya like a worm, a parasite eating him alive.
