Words of thanks
I love Elise and her flaws. Pero siyempre, hindi lahat ay magugustuhan siya.
For sure, it was kind of unusual for people to read a story where the protagonist is too proud of herself, somehow nitpicky, "too girly", loves oneself that much, risks a lot, is adventurous, and runs after a man she dearly loves. Accept it or not, it happens in "real life" and most of the time, they are the ones tagged as antagonists, unbelievable, and not a role model for other women.
Nabuhay at nakulong kasi ang marami sa atin sa kaisipan na ang babae ay dapat na mahinhin, nasa bahay, pili lang ang trabahong dapat na ginagawa, hindi nagfi-first move, hindi nananamit ng revealing, walang karapatang itaas ang standards sa potential na karelasyon, at napakarami pang bawal dahil "babae ka".
These were the few of my inspirations in creating the character of Elise. Despite her differences from others and her flaws, she has her own capabilities, strengths, and ways to be "different yet powerful". She has good qualities and outstanding skills to learn from. Pero, kahit na ang confident at ang galing-galing niya... nasasaktan pa rin siya.
Throughout the story, I hope you were able to grasp a lot of things, especially that we are all a work in progress. There is no such thing as perfect but we can always try to be better for ourselves and for good purposes.
