"I'm gonna go get a snack."
The boys don't seem to hear me, they were currently engaged in a deep conversation. I roll my eyes, just as crowds are starting to form around us.
I haven't been to this movie night in the park since I was little. My dad and I used to go, right after my mom left.
I really don't remember much of her, maybe a vague image. My dad doesn't leave pictures around the house, and he doesn't like to talk about her.
So I still to this day, have no idea what happened with her. I just remember her being there one day, I went to bed that night - then she was gone the next.
I finally find my way to the concessions stand, seeing that there was a small line - I wait behind a couple. I'm not even waiting there for ten seconds before they get called up next.
There was an older man who spoke, he had to be in his sixties. He greets everyone with a friendly and welcoming smile.
"Who's next?" I hear him ask, I step forward, a smile on my face.
"Can I-"
"Can I have two Pepsi's, please?" A voice cuts me off. I furrow my eyebrows, turning around to see who had just cut me in line.
"Sure thing," The man tells her.
I roll my eyes when I see who it is, "Does spending all that time in the cut rot your brain? Or could you not see that there's a line," I say with a scowl.
Kiara gives me a once over, "I didn't see you, Princess."
"Right," I say sarcastically. There's no way she didn't see me. "What are you even doing here?"
"It's a park," She explains, her emotions remain cold.
"Remember when you asked me the same thing?" I narrow my eyes at her. "You're in our land now-"
"Hey Kie!" A familiar voice shouts. We both turn at the sound, I meet eyes with Rafe, who smirks at me as he walks over. "What's up, Kie. How are you?"
"I'm fine," She says in her I'm-better-then-everyone tone. I roll my eyes, and cross my arms over my chest as he looks down at the girl we once knew.
"While you're here, tell your boy, we know what he did," Rafe says with a chuckle. "And he better watch his back."
"What boy, are you referring to?" She asks. Playing dumb, how smart of her.
"Aren't you all constantly scheming your stupid plans?" I ask. She can't tell me that she had no idea about Pope sinking Topper's boat.
"I seriously have no idea which boy you're talking about." I chuckle.
"Right, cause you constantly have ten wrapped around your finger." She glares at me.
"Easy there tiger," Rafe tells me with a chuckle.
"Who are you talking about?" She asks specifically him.
"Oh he'll know," He says with a smirk. She gives him a dirty look as she turns her back. "Bye!"
I roll my eyes as I finally face the man working at the concession stand. He gives me a warm smile, and I gladly return it.
"Hi, can I have a water and a bag of chips?" I say. I glance at Rafe, seeing he's still watching Kiara walk back to her friends "Do you want anything?"
"I'll take a soda," He says to the man. I watch the older man walk away, and he finally faces me. "I forgot about your feud with Kiara."
"She's a bitch," I say with an eye roll. "Has been since she left prep school."
