This one's kind of more for the plot rather then an exciting chapter, sorry loves :/

I blink out of my trance and shift my gaze to the SBI marshal in front of me. While Rafe and Ward were gone someplace conversing, I was trapped with him. I see he's waiting for me to react, and I move uneasily in my seat.
"Involved with what?" I play the innocent card, pick at the skin around my nails, and impatiently wait for him to respond. He undoubtedly senses my anxiety, I just know it.
"With them," He says and nods towards the two Cameron men quietly shouting at one another in the corner.
"Is there a particular reason you're asking?" I say, unsure of how to answer his question. Why did he want to know?
"No," He says with a shrug. "Just doing my job." I nod, continuing to stare at the man. The rain patted down on the tent continuously, the storm was coming in full affect.
"Sarah was my best friend,"Not that it's any of your business. I hold that part in though, I don't need him disliking me for my attitude. That could give him an even stronger reason to check into things.
"Did you notice anything wrong with her when she first started talking to this John B kid?" He asks. My eyes flash over to Rafe, who was noticing that the marshal was talking to me.
"She decided not to tell me that," I say. "I had to find out that information myself."
"I see," He says shortly. "So what caused you two to not be friends anymore?" Rafe was walking over now, with a quick pace too. I chew on the corner of my lips before staring back into the intimidating brown eyes of the marshal.
"I started dating Rafe," I say, as he sits down next to me.
"Is there a reason why you're profiling my girlfriend?" He asks, sliding his arm behind my chair. "She's not the murderer here."
The marshal smiles, "Just asking questions that need to get answered."
"Is she under arrest?" Rafe asks, it stays quiet between the three of us for a while. The SBI man knew that I knew something, right? Is that why he's asking me all these questions?
"No," The marshal says simply. "Just trying to connect some dots."
"Then I think we're done here," Rafe says while shooting him a fake smile back. He didn't have to be so rude, he's always so quick to react with anger. "Maybe instead of questioning her you can get her a jacket - it's pretty cold out here."
"I could definitely do that." He signals over another man and he nods, before walking away. Rafe's hand rubs against my arm a couple of seconds later.
"Stop looking so fucking guilty Corrine." Was it that obvious that I was freaking out? I'm just sitting next to a boy, who I just confessed was my boyfriend, in front of a federal agent, and judging by the smirk on his face, who knows something's up.
We are so fucked.
"So," A voice says suddenly. I look up from my thoughts to see Ward standing by the table. "What's your plan to get my daughter back?"
"We're still trying to locate them." Ward sits down, resting his forehead in his hands. He's playing the concerned parent card well. "They wont get far, Mr. Cameron."
"Call me Ward, please."
"They'll find her, Dad," Rafe tries to reassure his fake uneasiness. Ward nods into his hands, and I shoot a brief glance over to the SBI guy, who appears to be buying it. I guess the fake worried parent card was a great idea.
