Nagtaka si Paul ng malamang wala si Andrea sa kanilang bahay at hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa ito umuuwi. Kararating lang ni Paul galing sa kanyang office dahil nagkaroon ito ng emergency meeting with the board members regarding their new client abroad. Everything is going so well in their company. Everyone is so proud of him being the new CEO.

It was a very tiring day for him. Minabuti niyang manatili muna sa kanyang office para makapagisip-isip matapos ang pagu-usap nila ni Annie kanina. Hindi niya akalaing ganoon magiging kahirap ang desisyog pinili niya. Ang buog akala niya ay maiintindihan siya ng dalaga. Annie was a softhearted person, independent and very understanding.

(Flashback)

"Sa lahat ng tama at maling ginawa ko sa buhay ko. It was always you who understands me. You know me more than I know myself."

Pauld held Annie's hands. Trying to warm them up. He feels like her hands are shaking but he needs to spill it out. To tell the truth and be fair to her.

"Why are you telling this to me.." Annie's cold voice. It's shaking like she doesn't need an answer cause she finally has the idea why he said that.

"Ilang taon tayong pinaghiwalay ng panahon when we were just in college, but fate decided to bring you bak into my life. And I thank you for that, I will always be thankful for everything." Paul continued as tears fell from Annie's eyes without a word.

"Ayoko Paul, I don't need you to thank me. Hindi pa ngayon. Hindi mo naba ako kailangan?" Annie managed to speak between her sobs.

"Annie, you are the best woman I've ever had alam mo ba yun? Maraming dumating, maraming nagpaalam. Pero you were the only one who stayed by my side. You were always there whenever I needed you to be there." Tumulo ang mga luha ni Paul sa hindi niya malamang dahilan.

"Then why?" Muling tanong ng dalaga.

Paul can't find a word. Pakiramdam niya'y siya ang nadudurog sa pagkakataong ito. Tumayo ang dalaga mula sa pagkakaupo.

"Did you know that this  is the very first time you ever said 'Thank you' to me? Pero bakit pakiramdam ko ayokong magpasalamat ka. Kasi pakiramdam ko ito na yung una at huli."

"Annie please, don't make this too hard for us." Tumayo si Paul at hinarap muli ang dalaga. He let her face settle in between his palms as he wipe her tears.

"Alam mo rin bang ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na pinahid mo ang luha ko?"

He felt like a nail suddenly ripped his heart when he realized she was right. Hindi siya ganoon kaemotional na tao. He was not used of expressing his emotions and he never saw her crying in vain. He stepped aside realizing it. He felt ashamed of his self.

"You were so alone and full of burdens. I never had the chance to cry my aches in front or you. All I wanted is to make you believe that life could still be fair. That you have to be happy like me cause you had a lot better than what I only have."
