"Andrea, what do you think you are doing?"

I turned around to face my father standing at my office's door.

"Dad.. why are you here?"

He's prawning like I did a mistake again.

"Everyone, leave us alone." Ma-awtoridad nitong utos sa mga maintenance na inutusan kong magtanggal ng mga gamit ni Paul. There's no way I'm working in here with those.

"Have you proclaimed yourself as the new CEO?"

I was astonished by his question.

"What do you mean by this? why don't you go fix it with your husband and stop being a child!"

Seriously? after all he has done my father still want us to reconcile?

"Are you even hearing your words dad? You know that we're never married. That he faked our wedding. He is not my husband and he is putting our business at stake!"

How can he even get his side now?

My father brushed his hair and it alarmed me. I can't make him collapse again.

"Andrea.... he lied, yes. He faked your wedding, yes! but how about you? You also planned to play a game on my back isn't it?"

So, Paul told him.... Damn that idiot!

"You see Andrea, people make mistakes. We all lie, everyone has his or her own secrets. Because we sometimes believe that by keeping it, we tend to protect important people around us."

I was taken by his words. He's right, and I agree with him. But how could he forgive him that fast?

"Dad.. please leave me alone on this. I'm not a child anymore. I don't want anymore lies from people whom I trusted."

I went towards my table and handed him the papers I've been wanting to let him sign.

"Sign this papers and let's not make this a big deal anymore."

He opened the envelope and tried reading it.

"I made a petition to let the CEO leave his position and it has been signed by almost 1/3 of our shareholders.. Even them don't believe that he could do his job. He's a swindler."

I dropped my jaw when I saw his tore the papers.

"Dad!" I tried picking the papers but it has been tore in to pieces.

"What do you think you are doing! I am not signing those stupid papers!"

I don't understand! What is he up to? I saw him dialed the telephone without even explaining to me.

"Set a meeting with the board. I want it now." He commanded in an instant and I was wondering why.

He's about to leave my office and me still shocked as I stood in front of my desk.

"I am giving my company to Paul."

He said as he left.

And with that, I was left breathless. I involuntarily sat on my seat with my jaw dropped and my wholeness trembled.

I found myself pouring my glass with a tequila. No need to ask the bar tender. I want to be free from all of the madness just this once.
