My heart is restless as Amy's words echo in my head again and again. She's leaving. And once she does, there's no more us anymore.

But she still wants to be with me. She said so.

I can't sleep. I can't stop thinking about her.

"Shit." I curse, get up from the bed, and stride to the living room.

I glance at the clock, ready to pick her up at dawn. She's going to run away with me.

Fuck.

My heart feels like exploding, because this is a big deal. If she wants to go with me, she has to sacrifice her family. I don't want her to go through such misery, but a huge part of me doesn't even care, because all I care about is her happiness.

If she's happy with me, I'll make sure that that smile will stay on her face forever.

She, of all people, believes in me, and it feels impossible that such a pure heart belongs to me. She's still with me no matter how fucked up I am. She believes in me when no one does.

I love her. I love her so much that my heart clenches every time I think about her. Until now, I still can't believe that I deserve her, that she's mine.

While I'm putting my jacket on, Jasmine steps out of her room, still looking sleepy. She rubs her eyes and stares at me with worry. She knows that I've been going insane the whole night, thinking about Amy.

"Are you leaving?" Her voice is still hoarse.

I nod, noticing that she still has a runny nose. She sniffs.

"Yes, I have to go," I say. "Did you take the medicine I gave you last night?" I frown, noticing that she's still having a cold. "Don't forget to take the breakfast I made for you and drink it again. The cold should be gone soon."

She nods, trudging toward me while I take my car keys from the counter, heading to the door. Just as I turn the handle, her voice echoes in the room.

"Cal," she says, and I turn around, my hand still grabbing the door handle. "You will bring her back, won't you? I miss her so much."

I've never seen her looking so hopeful, as though there's nothing else she wants in this world but the three of us together again.

"I will." My voice is firm, filled with determination.

"You promise?" She has never begged me like this. I can even see her eyes glisten, showing how much she misses her.
