"Where were you yesterday?" Elena asked harshly. "Home... Why?" Natasha looked from Elena to Bonnie. "Alaric died, Nat. We had a funeral for him. He didn't want to complete his transition so he let himself die." Bonnie responded.

"Oh my god. I had no idea. I went home after the dance, I- How's Jenna? How are you guys?" Natasha asked. "Jenna's upset. I think Ric's death affected her more than any of us." Elena answered.

Natasha's phone buzzed, she went to check it. "I have to go." She mumbled. "Where?" Elena asked. "I told Caroline I'd help her clean up the school after yesterday's events. I have to go, I'm not leaving her and Rebekah alone in the same room."

"Natasha!" Elena exclaimed but the red haired girl had already shut the door and was on her way to the school.

"Nat, you're here." Rebekah sighed. "I told Caroline I'd help her clean this up." Natasha said, looking around but not having seen Caroline. "She's not here yet. You can grab a trash bag from the table and help me though."

"Bex," Natasha said as he grabbed a bag. "Hm?" Rebekah hummed. "I'm sorry. I knew something was wrong yester, I could feel it. I should have known it wasn't you. You deserved to attend the dance you organized."

"Thanks... I'm sorry too. About your teacher, I mean. Nik told me." Rebekah said. "I didn't know until a few minutes ago that Alaric died. Bonnie told me. I feel bad for Jenna more than anyone." Natasha sighed.

"Can I also just say, I'm sorry about your friend." Rebekah said. "What?" Natasha asked. "Before my mother took control of my body, she told me that you were seeing the ghost of your friend. She could feel it somehow. I, uh, I'm sorry you lost them. Must have been hard."

Caroline then entered the cafeteria where the girls were. "Where's Matt?" She asked. "He bailed. Got called into work last minute." Rebekah answered coldly. "Are you kidding me?" Caroline scoffed. "So it's just us three?"

"yes, and you're late. Clean up committee started at eight." Rebekah told her, Caroline checked her phone. "It's eight o' two." Caroline raised an eyebrow.

"Exactly. Nat and I managed to show up on time and I didn't even get to attend the dance I organized." Rebekah stated bitterly.

"I'm sorry about your mom. I mean, I know you, like, hated her and everything, but still." Caroline broke the silence. Rebekah glanced at Natasha, who was picking up trash from the other end of the room. "Sorry about your teacher. Seemed like a nice guy."

"Yeah. He was." Caroline said. "I'm going to get started on the gym." Rebekah sighed as she did not know what else to say. She then walked out.

"You're supposed to be dead." Caroline and Natasha heard Rebekah said. "I am." Alaric responded. Caroline vamp sped into the hallway and knocked Alaric into the lockers with Rebekah's help. Natasha joined the blondes, taking the stake from Alaric's hand and shoving it in his heart.
