62. Uptown Girl

It had been about a week since Fred had come home and he was still at the burrow, nothing about it felt happy.

"I'm sorry we haven't been able to plan the wedding darling" George said setting down a cup of tea in front of you

"It's alright. I just want Fred to get better" you sighed and looked into your cup.

Molly had invited everyone over for Sunday dinner at the burrow and you and George gladly accepted however, you were nervous to see Fred.

While you hadn't done anything wrong it felt like you did. Fred hated you and you didn't want everyone else to hate you for upsetting him.

"What are you thinking about" George asked
"Just Fred" you sighed
"Yeah..." George frowned

"I wish there was something we could do"
"I thought being here would help"
Before George could say anything else Lee had apperated into the flat

"Morning Weasleys" he smiled
"Morning Lee" George said getting up to greet his friend.

Lee walked up behind you leaving a kiss on your head and sat in the chair next to you

"You alright babe" he asked leaning in to smell your tea
"Yeah, I'm fine" you shrugged swatting Lee away from your mug.

Mari heard Lee and came into the living room, she hopped up on his lap and began putting and rubbing up against him

"I swear my cat likes everyone more than me" you laughed

"So how goes the wedding planning" Lee asked as George sat back down with the two of you

"It's not" you sighed "we cant with Fred like this"
"Oh" Lee looked a little embarrassed "sorry"
"It's fine mate" George smiled

"As soon as Fred's better the planning will be in full swing" you said glancing down at your ring.

Your stomach hurt knowing the wedding kept getting pushed off, you wanted nothing more than for Fred to be better but it still hurt waiting.

You were snapped out of your thoughts when Fred apperated into the living room
"Freddie hey" you smiled not knowing exactly what to say

"I want to go see her" he said "where she's buried"
You looked at George and Lee and then back at Fred

"Angelina?" George asked
"Yeah, I need to....." he trailed on glancing down at the floor

"I'll take you" you volunteered
"Samantha are you sure" George asked getting to his feet "I'm not sure that's wise" he said dropping his voice
"It's fine, right Freddie?"

"Sure" he shrugged not really looking at you
You kissed George goodbye and held onto Fred's arm.

He gasped silently at the contact and looked right into your eyes only for the hopeful look on his face to disappear.

The two of you gave Lee and George one last look and you were off.

You landed on the path outside of the castle that lead to the graveyard. Fred stood for a moment getting his bearings and looking up at Hogwarts

"It's beautiful" you said quietly
"I remember this place" Fred finally said
You smiled and lead him down the path to the small graveyard where Tonks, Angelina and others were buried.

"She's over there" you whispered and pointed to her headstone. Fred nodded and silently walked towards it.

While Fred was with Angelina you stopped by Tonks's grave using your wand to lay flowers
