Plans For A Future

Well, it happened sooner than later. The press figured us out. We went to a restaurant together and there they were. Cameras were everywhere. We had a fun dinner though.

We got seated and Reid smiled. "Can you hot wire a car?"

I stared at him. "What?" Did he want me to do that? And then why?

Reid chuckled. "I'm curious. Can you? I mean could you if you had to?" He rolled his eyes. "I'm not asking you to steal a car! I just figured that since you are all techy, that you could hot wire a car!"

I laughed. "I could probably figure it out. Sure."

He leaned on his hand with his elbow propped on the table. "It's sexy, Utah."

I glared at him. "What are you getting?" I picked up the menu.

"Ravioli. You?" Reid didn't bother with the menu.

"Do they even have ravioli?" I looked through the menu and it was on page four. "They do!" I chuckled. "So, what do we do about the press that has gathered outside?" I pointed at the window.

Reid shrugged. "Nothing. We just live with them. Some of them are decent. I warned you that they would find out about us."

I nodded. "So, we are going public then? What if they don't like me!"

Reid laughed. "Kitten, they don't like themselves! Who cares. I like you. That's really all that matters. Me and Jack."

I nodded. "So this is date three?"

Reid paused to think. "You know..." He paused again. "This is like date five."

"How?" I glared at him as he smirked.

"I figured the helicopter was date two. The shopping was three, the fair was four, the wedding was five so this is six. Oh, or seven if we count the B&B!" He leaned in. "And we should count the B&B."

I was hot. "Is it hot in here!"

Reid laughed with me. "Okay, you're going to hate this next part."

"What."

"Are you asking?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Not anymore. Go on." I was just letting the next thing happen.

"Moving. Not in with me, calm down. I figured that the press will follow you so I want to get you to a gated community, Utah. Somewhere safer with your roommate." Reid rolled his eyes. "Until you're comfortable moving in with me."

"Okay."

"No fight?"

I rolled my eyes. "Will that do any good, Reid?"

He smirked. "Nope."

I giggled. "I know."

"You're spending the night with me tonight. Don't worry, no sex but maybe some sex-like activities." He winked at me and I blushed.

"Reid, I've never had someone want to take care of me like that. I mean, Howard looked out for me and so does Jim but this is a different level and I just wanted to say that I might just..." I stopped and blushed some more.

"Go on." Reid stated in a deeper voice.

I inhaled. "You don't make things easy, you know."

"I know. Keep going, Kitten."

I glared at that. "See, things like that. I've never had a nickname, not even one that I hated! No one cared enough to give me one." I had tears from nowhere. I wiped them and cleared my throat and I was in Reid's arms. He wrapped around me and pulled up and into him. Now, we were going to make a scene.

"I'm okay." I whispered. "Sorry, this wasn't... I don't know what's wrong with me!"

"Utah. You're such a thief." Reid sighed as he kissed my head. "You stole my heart and I never saw it coming." His eyes met mine. "I love you, Utah."

More tears fell. "This is way too soon, Reid but I think... I love you too."

Reid did something that surprised me. He had tears. "Say that again."

I smiled. "I love you."

Reid chuckled. "Okay." He looked around. "Uh, we need our order to go, please. I have to get this beauty home and take advantage of him!"

I knew he was teasing but I blushed. I actually didn't know if he was teasing. It was Reid here.

Turns out that he wasn't teasing, completely. Reid waved for the cameras as I ducked into his arm and rushed to a waiting car with our dinner that we didn't eat yet.

Reid got me into the house and attacked my face for ten minutes. We were piled on the couch as Jack walked in from soccer practice and dinner at a friend's house. Great.

"Gross!" Jack glared at us as I turned and fell to the floor. Everyone laughed. I saw Jack smile.

I stood up. "Jack! So sorry about that."

Jack smiled at me. "I always hoped he would find someone that liked him that much, Utah."

I blushed and looked down.

"I wanted to find someone that would take care of you, Jack." Reid stated.

"You're kidnapping me aren't you." I sighed.

"Are you asking?" Reid pulled me close.

I just laughed. I knew he was kidnapping me.

"The real question is what am I going to do with you now that you're mine." Reid stated.

Jack chuckled. "Is there food?" He sniffed the air and rushed to the kitchen and we followed. We hadn't eaten yet.

It was nice. I shared my pasta thing with Jack. It was a meal for at least two people. The portions were huge.

"So, did you guys have a nice night?" Jack asked as he ate.

I smiled. "You know, it was. The press knows about us." I sighed.

"So, is this official!" Jack was curious.

Reid nodded. "Yes."

"Does Utah know that?" Jack chuckled. I laughed because I had someone else that understood Reid and his craziness.

"I know that. I just didn't have a choice!" I chuckled and smiled at Reid. Jack just sighed.
