Reid drove me to his house. I felt so at home here, was that weird? Maybe. I was quiet in the car but he didn't talk either. We walked into the kitchen and Reid smiled. "Are you okay? Really?"
I nodded. "I'm not as mad as I was. I have to talk to Jim but I'm okay actually. I should get the story before I judge him, then I can judge him!"
Reid shook his head. "Utah, you are something. So... Come on!" He pulled me up the stairs and down a hall I hadn't been in. We walked into a room with a balcony. "What do you think?"
"Uh, it's empty?" I stared at a very empty room.
Reid chuckled. "It is. Jack wants to take up painting as his art medium and I thought we could get the room ready ...together. What do you think?"
I smiled. "This is so cool!" I walked to the balcony that overlooked a wooded area. "The view is lovely!"
"I know. So, will you help me paint this room for my son?" Reid asked.
I turned around to Reid on one knee. "I will!" I giggled. "Reid!" I shook my head because he was holding a painting jumpsuit. I knew he wouldn't do this with just anyone. So, we painted a room together as a date. Another wonderful Reid date.
We were thirty minutes in when I found my phone and my music and we had music flowing through the room. I laughed when Reid began singing along to one of the songs. He didn't have a bad voice.
I giggled a lot in his presence. This room was coming along when we took a break for lunch. "Hungry?" Reid asked as he stopped the music.
"Starving!" I smiled at him. He had blue paint on his forehead. "You got some paint on your face!" I smiled. He looked so cute.
"I do?"
"Yes. There." I touched his forehead and got more paint on him. "Shit! I just added to it!"
Reid glared. "You got paint on me?"
"I tried to get it off!" I screamed as Reid lunged at me with a paintbrush. I defended myself and we created a mess. We were covered in paint before lunch and my stomach hurt from laughing. Reid laughed so loud and so long and I hadn't heard him that free. It was lovely.
We cleaned up, sort of and ate pizza. It was the perfect meal. "Reid, this date is perfect!" I sighed as I sat on the floor in the garage. We ate in the garage so we didn't get paint on anything in the house. It sounds stupid but it was perfect and weird. I loved it.
"We're eating pizza in the garage, Utah." Reid smiled.
I laughed. "I know!" I wiped my mouth with my napkin.
Reid nodded. "Seems perfect but I think it's the company. Ready to finish that room?"
I nodded. "I am."
"Come on." Reid pulled me up and we went back to painting. We danced and sang while we finished. By the end, we were bellowing out notes that weren't notes but we were having fun. I can't sing for shit but Reid's not bad.
"Okay. I think we are finished." Reid looked around the room and surveyed our progress.
"It looks nice. Man, this will be great. Hey, can I buy him some paints or an easel? Something?" I asked. "Would that be okay?
Reid smiled at me. "Utah...." He kissed me. "Let's shower." He pulled me from the freshly painted room and down the hall. We entered the bathroom and peeled off the jumpsuits. Inside out and in the trash. Those were done. Reid turned on the shower as we both stripped. Man, his body made me drool.
I figured he would take me in the shower but nope. We just got cleaned up but it was nice to shower with him. We hopped out of the shower and dried off. Reid pulled me to the bed and we climbed in.
"What are we doing?" I was covered up as Reid laid beside me.
"Cuddling." Reid sighed. "I haven't got to cuddle with you so here we are. Good?"
I curled up with him. "So good." I let my hand roam over his chest and side as we talked. My head rested on his chest. "So good." He smelled so great with his vanilla scent that lived in my brain.
Reid hummed. "It is." His hands were on my back and in my hair. "Your hair is so soft."
I sighed. It was still damp. "Thanks. How was yesterday?"
"Good. Busy. Sorry about that." Reid just inhaled and exhaled.
I sighed. "It's okay. I wasn't mad. I cooked a pizza in that amazing oven and played games with Jack online. I had fun and I wanted to maybe take him out one day? Get to know him better? Could we do that, just us two?" I wasn't sure how this would go.
Reid pulled me tighter. "You say the most wonderful things, Kitten."
I smiled and closed my eyes. This was really perfect. "Is that a no?"
Reid chuckled. "Of course you can. You have plans?"
"No. I just...we play games when we get together and I wanted to actually talk with him. You know? I just...something besides games but I don't know."
"He loves the art museum downtown and he would love to take the bus." Reid stated. "I can set up a car for you but he would love to take a city bus. He's never done that." He was helping.
I smiled. "Okay. I can do that. Maybe McD's and the museum?"
"Sounds perfect. When?" Reid was curious.
"Sure. Is he busy tomorrow?" I didn't know if he had plans.
"We can ask later. Spending the night?" Reid wasn't really asking.
I just chuckled. "Do I have a choice?"
"Nope!" Reid kissed the top of my head as I slowly drifted off to sleep in his arms.
