I got a text from Reid on Wednesday. The day I was dreading. I was meeting Abby and Jim tonight. We were going to clear the air. Sure. My phone chimed and took over my thoughts. Reid.

Reid: Kitten, Friday.

Me: Teddy, are you drunk?

Reid: LOL No! Friday me and you. Date.

Me: Do I have a choice?

Reid: no.

Me: I was thinking about you

Reid: Smirk. Of course you were

Me: Usually the other person says it back

Reid: Redundant again. I'm always thinking about you

Me: As I suspected. Drunk *smirk*

Reid: I'm perfect, I know

Me: *Eye roll* you're supposed to compliment me

Reid: You know exactly how I feel about you, Kitten. You're my world.

Me: Stunned.

Reid: *eye roll* Smirk Kitten be ready after work and we'll relax before dinner at eight

Me: okay. I'm scared

Reid: No need. If she's nasty, we walk away and done

Me: thanks, Teddy

Reid: Kitten, I'm always here for you. Always.

Me: me too, Teddy.

Reid: Kitten. I have a meeting

Me: I have something to fix. See you in while

Reid: four thirty sharp.

I knew he was away at his meeting but I smiled and thought about him for the next couple of hours. I wasn't scared with him beside me. I knew he wouldn't let Abby hurt me more. I was worried about how it would affect Jim and my relationship, not to mention Reid's friendship too.

I'll make life after four thirty sharp shorter. I met Reid, who was already waiting and we drove to his house. He took me over the counter in the kitchen because Jack was out with friends. He had soccer practice also.

I mean, Reid had me naked in no time, a record, and I was moaning his name for a while. We rushed to the bedroom and moaned there also. This was how he kept me relaxed before the dinner meeting. That's my Reid.

I laughed as I put on a suit. "Thanks for that!" We had a snack in between but I was starving.

Reid smiled as he tied his tie. "Welcome but it was purely selfish reasons, Kitten."

"How so?" I watched him.

"I wanted you badly and I didn't want to hear you complain or talk about what if's for four hours. Oh! And I didn't want you backing out by thinking of a thousand reasons not to go." Reid smiled as he tied my tie perfectly.

I chuckled. "You're such a jerk." I kissed him. "Thanks."

Reid watched me as we stood close. "Welcome, Kitten." He wrapped around me and I melted into him. "Sometimes family is an obligation." He sighed.

"We're going to see your family on Friday, Aren't we?" I got this one right as he pulled away.

Reid smirked at me. "You are so smart." He kissed me gently. "Ready?"

I sighed and shook my head. But Reid being Reid just pulled me down the stairs and out to a car that was waiting. We were at the restaurant faster than I would have liked and now I was sweating. I just tried to breathe or I was passing out.
