Utah POV: We don't switch anymore.

I realized two things. One, I was straddling Reid and two, I was kissing Reid. I was kissing Reid Chambers! Holy computer screens! I pulled away. "I have to go!" I jumped off his lap but he grabbed my hand before I could run.

Reid stood and looked into my eyes. "Utah, I really like you."

I stared at him in a kind of shock, I think. I just kissed this gorgeous man that I didn't know. Like... I kissed him, hard.

"But you don't know me! You can't stalk me, get all buddy buddy with my roommate, freak me out by thinking something is wrong or that you were going to take me out today and then ditch me with a kid, then expect me to get all jello on you!" I was breathless. "You don't know me! Sure, we've met and you got what you could from Jim but You don't know Me!"

"Reid, I need to go home." I inhaled trying not to panic.

"Then go out with me and I'll take you home." Reid stated.

"No!"

"Why not?" Reid looked confused.

"Because you still haven't asked me, Reid. You're still telling me what to do!" I glared at him and that seemed to make him smile.

Reid got on one knee and looked at me. "Utah, will you please go out with me, on a date? This is me asking you."

I stared at him. "No!" I didn't know how I was saying no to him. I wanted to either run from him or run into his arms. I was very conflicted.

Reid looked up. "Why? What's the problem now?"

"Now you are expecting a yes!" I glared at him again as he stood up. I glared at him a lot. "You always get your way. You're a spoiled brat." What was I doing? I never talked back to people! I was standing up to Reid Chambers? Who was I?

Reid leaned in. "Is that a yes?" I was worried that I was too harsh but the words didn't seem to affect him.

I couldn't help but laugh. "No! It's a no!"

Reid chuckled with me and wrapped his arms around my back. "Okay. Why don't I wait until you ask me?"

I stared again because I was in his arms and I didn't know how I got there. "What?" I wasn't expecting that would be his reply. Oh, I never wanted to leave this position. I was so safe in his embrace.

Reid chuckled. "I'm going to wait until you ask me out. How's that? I will just talk to you and visit you at work, maybe meet you for lunch at that diner? Everything will be on your terms? How's that?"

"Uh..." It was the only word that came out.

Reid chuckled. "Just so you know, I think you are so cute!"

I blushed.

Reid put his hand on my face. "Before this night is over may I kiss you again?" He pressed his lips to my lips and didn't wait for an answer from me. I almost moaned but Reid ended the kiss way too soon. His lips were so soft and wow, did this man know how to kiss me. "Stay and watch a movie with me?"

I glared but I felt myself giving in to him. He was too charming and sweet in his weird Reid way.

"Please?" Reid spoke so gently.

"Okay. One movie. I'm giving you a chance. We can talk at work. I'll try but I'm not good at relationships." I confessed. "This was all Jim's idea or I guess it was your idea!"

Reid smiled. "It was my idea. Jim just helped. Come, sit and relax. Okay? I want to get to know you, Utah."

I obeyed. We watched a scary movie and I hid my face on Reid's shoulder. I figured this was planned somehow. We had to watch a funny movie after that because I couldn't go home scared. I fell asleep.
