Tucked In

Reid refused to let me leave so I was in his bed. He actually tucked me in. He had tucked Jack in and I joked about never being tucked in and I didn't know what that meant really.

So, Reid tucked me into bed, tucked the blanket around me, kissed my forehead and told me to have sweet dreams. He had some work to do and emails to check on.

I melted in the bed because of how sweet that was.

When I opened my eyes, Reid's side was still empty. I checked my phone and it was three am. I got up and walked to the living room. It was empty. His office. He would be in his office. I rushed up the stairs to his office and stared at the scene.

Reid was curled up on the couch in his office. I found a blanket and covered him up. I tucked him in and kissed his forehead. He snored a little and it was so freaking cute.

"He sleeps in here a lot." A voice said from the door.

I sighed as I turned to Jack.

"He's just never had someone check on him before." Jack smiled at me.

I smiled and blushed. "Well... wait, he's never dated?"

Jack motioned for us to leave the office. I followed him so we didn't wake Reid up. "No. He's never found a keeper. They never stick around."

"Dad's been alone for so long. I mean he had me but never someone he could talk to. I've never seen him look at anyone but when he looks at you..."

"Really?" I was shocked about a couple of things here. "So, are you okay with me hanging around?"

Jack nodded. "I am for a few reasons. One, because he looks happy. Two, you asked me. You treat me so great and you are you! You're not fake, Utah! Dad takes me on business trips and everything and they are all so...eww. Kids are a bother. He asked me about you coming here and I was nervous at first."

"I like meeting new people but I knew he liked you. By the end of the night, I realized why he liked you."

I smiled at Jack. "Jack, you're amazing."

Jack smiled his 'Reid' smile. "Thanks. Dad told me that you had a rough childhood and have been alone like me. Do you think I will turn out like you?"

I smiled at him. "I think you'll be better than me, Jack. Wanna play a game?"

Jack chuckled. "A parent-like figure should probably send me to bed." He winked at me.

"How old are you!" I chuckled. "You better get to bed. Night, Sweetheart." I kissed his forehead and sent him to bed as I laughed. I walked back into the bedroom and laid on the bed, Reid's bed, and closed my eyes.
