Chapter 67 Zira's Gambit

Rani jumped up and she slammed her paw down hitting a wolf in the eyes and as the wolf whimpered in pain Leo headbutt the wolf away. Rani smiled, "Leo good wor-" Leo ran ahead to keep battling and Rani followed him so she could keep an eye on him. Zira rolled as Kion's strike missed, "Oh how long I've been waiting for this." Kion shut Zira out ignoring her small talk knowing she was only trying to distract him. Zira kept evading as when she looked around she saw Wolves go flying as they were being overpowered by the Lion Guard and Night Pride. 

A Sabertooth raised his claw but Vitani headbutt the Saber in the side and Kovu jumped from behind slashing. The Sabertooth winced in pain as Beshte ran in flinging the Saber into some rocks. A wolf leaped up to strike Kovu from behind and Vitani shouted to alert Kovu but when he turned he saw Kiara leap in the air above him pouncing and landing on the wolf. Kovu eyes widened happily seeing Kiara saved him. Kiara went to him, "Kovu are you okay?" Kovu nodded and smiled as they were ready to fight together. 

"ACK!!! MERCY!!! PLEASE!!!" A Sabertooth yelped in pain as blood started to shed around. Rani looked quickly and her eyes widened seeing Leo kept slashing at the Saber who was down ripping him limb from limb. "LEO!!!!" She ran over shouting seeing he had tears in his eyes as he kept slashing and slashing and slashing and slashing. Rani pulled Leo away as his paws were soaked in blood and he just broke down in tears as Rani looked at him. Rani without hesitation nuzzled him and Leo paused and looked down at Rani.

"R-R-Rani....I-I-I" He stuttered realizing what he just did and before he said anything else Rani licked him on the cheek and he paused. "Leo I know your hurting.....but....I'm here for you," She smiled lightly and Leo shed a small smile. As they did that Nuka and Bunga dashed by and slammed their heads into a Sabertooth. Kiba backed away seeing things were not going well and he was about to howl until Kopa tackled him. Kiba rolled and broke free as he saw Kopa was in front of him. "It's over Kiba! Your gonna pay for everything you've done," Kopa proclaimed as Kiba scoffed.

"NEVER!!!!" Kiba barked as he charged for Kopa and Kopa ran forward as they both headbutt each other. Zira jumped back as Anga dived down to hit her and Zira ran away heading up Pride Rock. Kion ran after her quickly, "FULI WITH ME!!" Kion shouted. Fuli kicked a wolf away and nodded as she used her speed to catch up with Kion as they both ran up Pride Rock. When they took the turn they both paused as they saw Zira had her claw right at Simba's heart threatening to kill him. Nala and Rafiki were nervous seeing Zira do that but their eyes sparkled with hope seeing Kion and Fuli.

"KION!!!" Simba and Nala called,

"ZIRA!!!" Kion shouted seeing she had her dad like that,

"Not a single step. Move one step and your father's journey ends here!" She threatened. Kion looked around the cave seeing Zira trapped herself here but she was going to kill Simba if they moved. Kion started to question did he corner Zira or did Zira corner him.

Makucha rolled and he coughed as he limped up seeing the wolves refused to give up despite three of their leaders were dead. Jasiri, Janja, and Kiburi continued to battle the wolf generals as the others continued the fight. Leu backed up to Makucha, "This really isn't good bestie." Makucha ignored the nickname and sighed, "At this rate, we might actually lose." Despite their great start it looked like there were still too many wolves. A wolf howled as Janja was able to slay the general he was fighting. The last two generals howled, "KEEP ON ATTACKING!!! VICTORY IS ALMOST OURS!!" General One roared.

Suddenly General One was set on fire and Kiburi backed up seeing Mwoga dropped a fire stick on the wolf. The General ran around screaming trying to take the fire out but despite his efforts, he collapsed and stopped moving. The Last general ordered the Metal Fang to finish off these rebels as he hid in the back to avoid death. Jasiri looked around as the mass army of wolves pushing them to the edge of the ravine. Skip landed on Leu exhausted, "Skip?!" Leu called. Skip opened his eyes, "There are way too many..." Kazi panted as the remaining Sabertooths formed a circle to defend but they were tired as well. The General smirked, "End of the Road!" He called as he raised his paw ready to give the kill orders. Makucha fell back as he was knocked down as a wolf raised his claw.

Suddenly howling was heard and the General turned around quickly seeing a faction of wolves that were not his. Leu squinted looking and his eyes widened in joy, "IT'S VIOLET AND HER PACK!!!" He shouted. Seiko and Finn ran beside Violet as she smirked leading the pack, "DIVIDE AND CONQUER!!!" Seiko and Finn split off from each other as the main pack split into two groups. Makucha jumped up, "OUTLANDERS SPLIT UP AS WELL!!!" Makucha ran and Jasiri called confirming Makucha's command. The General was in the center as four different teams circles around them and he looked up seeing the Aerial troops circled. Seiko howled and all four teams charged to attack the wolves and Seiko slashed down on another wolf's throat. The General eyes widened seeing they were being slained left and right by the Outlanders, Sabertooths, and Wolves. The General turned to flee but Violet leaped in his way and growled and he whimpered.

"SURRENDER NOW!!" Violet barked right in his face and he fell back in fear. The General looked around seeing the wolves were going down and he put his paws in front of himself, "DON'T KILL ME!!! I SURRENDER!!!" Violet smirked as she slammed her paw on the General's head knocking him out. The other wolves saw the last general out and most of them laid down putting their paws on their heads signalling they were done fighting. Makucha smiled for a moment and Leu smiled. "Your smile is beautiful Makucha!" He called and Makucha stopped and scoffed. Leu laughed as the Outlanders cheered. Mzingo flew above, "IT'S NOT OVER YET!!! THE LION GUARD LOOKS LIKE THEY MAY NEED HELP!"

"WATCH OVER THE WOLVES!!! MY WOLVES WITH ME!!!" Violet shouted running off to Pride Rock and Seiko and Finn followed as the pack was not far behind. Skip and Mzingo landed on the ground, "Go Violet!" Skip shouted.

Kion stood there unsure what to do as Simba looked around, "Kion do it!" Simba blurtedsignalling to use the roar. Kion eyes widened. Kion looked and saw Nala, Rafiki, and Luna were behind them now meaning his Father was the only one he needed to be saved from Zira. "You may have rescued Nala, Rafiki, and Luna but Simba isnt going anywhere." "ZIRA PLEASE!!!" Nala called out fearing what could happen to Simba. Fuli kept Nala, Rafiki, and Luna behind her but she was nervous about the King.

"Do I use the roar? I could hurt dad....but I can't let Zira take anyone elses life today...." Kion was think unsure what to do. 

"Kion I trust you and I know in your heart you will do what's right," Simba commented looking at his son proud. Zira rolled her eyes finding this disgusting and Kion looked at his father and his eyes lit up.

Simba looked at Zira, "I told you your fall would-"

"SILENCE!!!!" Zira yelled as she was starting to lose it seeing she was cornered. Zira placed her claw closer, "IF I CAN'T HAVE PRIDE ROCK I WILL GET RID OF IT'S CURRENT KING!!!" Zira shouted loudly as she was gonna plunge her claw into Simba.

"SIMBA!!!" Nala called with tears closing her eyes fearing the worst,

"DAD!!!" Kion cried out,

"KION I'M PROUD OF YOU AND I LOVE YOU-" Simba shouted as quick as he could,
