Chapter 30 Rescue

Meu and Leu stopped in front of a cave, "This is it" Meu explained looking at the Lion Guard. Kopa looked at Kion, and Kion looked at Meu and Leu, "Arent you coming" Kion asked. Leu and Meu backed up in fear, "You want us to go back in there, Rani might kill us" Leu explained. Kopa looked at Leu, "You two are the only ones that know where in the cave they are, and we need to get there now" Kopa ordered. Kion stood beside Kopa and looked at Leu, "If you want to start a new you need to face the past and apologize, we will defend you if Rani tries to kill you but let's hurry" Kion added.

Leu and Meu sighed and went inside and Kopa followed, before Kion went in he looked at Mzingo, "You guys stay here, Kopa, Kiara, Fuli, Kazi, Beshte, and I will follow them" Kion explained to the group. Everyone sat and the Sabertooths listened and sat down and the others followed Leu and Meu inside the cave.

Inside the cave, it was cold and felt unstable, "Who knows how long we have until this cave collapses" Kiara pointed out. Kopa walked beside Kiara, "Then we hurry up and find Leo and Rani" Kopa commented determined. Kion and Kiara looked and saw Kopa was in front following Meu and Leu while Kion, Kiara, Fuli, Beshte, and Commander Kazi were in the back. "Wow, Kopa is determined to find Leo" Beshte commented. "Well, Kopa feels obligated to do so" Commander Kazi added. Kion looked at Kazi, "What do you mean?" Kion asked, Kazi looked at Kion and the others. 

"You see before Kopa knew who he was he went as Leon and built new memories, lots of those were a relationship built with Leo" Kazi explained. Everyone followed Kazi as he was talking, "To Kopa, Leo was the only brother he had before he remembered Kion, Leo didnt judge Kopa even though they weren't related, he helped him, took care of him, played with him, and did many things to make Kopa feel welcomed...Leo treated Kopa as a sabertooth" Kazi explained.

"Even saved his life" Commander Kazi explained, the others were amazed hearing what Kazi was saying. "How did Leo save his life?" Fuli asked, "Long story but to save some time, there was a time a rival Sabertooth faction attacked and they tried to take out Kopa to hurt Fang, at that time Kopa didnt know much about fighting but Leo fought against 3 fully grown sabertooths to defend Kopa until reinforcements arrived and they wiped out the rivals" Commander Kazi explained.

"He feels like he needs to return a favour" Kion commented, the others followed and Leu looked back. "Almost there," Leu told others but as they walked they stopped as they saw a paw sticking out of a pile of rocks. "Is that Leo?" Fuli asked worried, Kazi bent down and shook his head, "No this is Seu...well use to be Seu" Kazi explained. Leu and Meu gulped in fear, "Maybe you keep going and we'll wait with the others" Leu was suggesting.

Kazi turned to look at them, "We're almost there Rani and Leo have to be close" Kazi explained but Kion was hearing something. "Wait, everyone, quiet" Kion hushed, in an instant everyone listened and said nothing. As they listened they heard crying, "Rani" Fuli commented, Kion lead the group as they followed the crying sounds.

Meu and Leu were in the back with Beshte and once everyone turned the corner they stopped and Kazi and Kopa were shocked. They saw Leo lying there on his back and Rani had her head on his chest and she was crying. Kopa ran over quickly and slid in and Rani raised her head seeing everyone. "Kion, Fuli" Rani called wiping her tears, Rani was confused why Leon was here with more sabertooths. But she was too focused on Leo and she held his paw, "What happened?" Kopa asked quickly starting to push on Leo's chest.

"He...he...was attacked...I tried to help then when they got away he wasn't breathing" Rani explained crying. Kopa looked at Kazi as he had his ear on Leo's chest, "Sir by the sounds of it she saved him" Kazi whispered. Kopa looked at Rani then back at Kazi, "Why is she still crying then?" Kopa asked. "Maybe she's in shock, when someone goes through something like this shock will happen" Kazi explained.

As Rani cried Kion and Fuli walked over, "Rani it's alright you did it" Fuli tried to reassure but right when she said that Rani went to Fuli and contiued to cry. Fuli helped reassure her becuase she knew right now Rani needed that shoulder to cry on. Kion and Kiara were with Kopa and Kazi looking at Leo. Kazi looked around all over Leo, "A few scratch marks and bad wounds, he needs medical attention" Kazi explained. Kion looked at Kazi, "Not in this cave, it's unstable" Kion explained.

Leu breathed in and then out and walked over to Rani, "Rani?" Leu said softly. Rani looked and was surprised he was here and she was going to attack but she didnt. Fuli held Rani back, "Don't Rani they led us here, I know it may look confusing but trust me we'll explain in due time" Fuli explained. Rani shook her head and wiped her eyes, "Ok I trust you" Rani commented looking at Fuli.

The ground started to shake and some rocks fell from above and Meu pushed Kopa out of the way as a rock almost hit him. Kopa helped Meu up, "Thanks" Kopa thanked, "No problem" Meu replied. Leu looked at Kion, "Don't want to rush this reunion but can we load Leo onto Beshte and get the hell out of here" Leu suggested. Kion noded and everyone acted quickly to get Leo on Beshte and Kion and Fuli supported Rani's sides as they all rushed to get out of the unstable cave.
