Chapter 2 The Alpha

Alex looked up in the sky as he spoke to Mufasa, Janna, and Buku, "I understand but what should I do?" Alex asked. "If Rani feels she wants to be with someone else let her guide herself but don't be afraid to help guide her" Janna explained. "And Alex since we are not there we depend on you to help guide the Lion Guard and Night Pride" Mufasa added. "And remember son we'll always be here if you ever need to talk" Buku reassured. Alex smiled as the clouds started to clear and the three of them in the sky disappeared. Alex looked the other way and saw the sun was rising, "Welp here we go" Alex told himself as he walked towards the tree of life.

Kion and Fuli were heading back and they saw Rani on the way, "Hey Rani" Kion and Fuli called trying to greet her. Rani turned and waved and said hey back but then continued walking to the tree of life without looking back. Fuli looked at Kion, "Is something wrong with Rani?" Fuli asked. Kion looked at Fuli, "Not sure I hope she is okay" Kion answered.  Fuli and Kion followed after Rani into the tree of life and when they got in the Night Pride and Lion Guard were awake. As Kion walked in the outlanders and Chase were also here.  "Oh, Kion you're just in time" Bunga added, Kion looked at everyone, "What's going on?" Kion asked. Surak looks at Kion, "According to your Vulture friend Zira got some help taking the Pride Lands" Surak explained briefly.

 Kion looked back at Surak, "We already know that Kiba and Makucha's forces have joined Zira" Kion assumed. Surak shook his head and continued, "Not that Kion apparently there is more" Surak added. Kion backed up for a moment, "What do you mean?" Kion questioned. Mzingo went pass everyone to face Kion, "Kion I already told Ono and everyone here so now it's your turn" Mzingo started to say. Kion noded showing Mzingo he's ready to hear the story. "Well as I told you all yesterday Zira took over with help from the Kiba and Makucha you speak of but there was another creature and he had an army, I don't know what they were though" Mzingo explained.

"What did they look like?" Nirmala asked Mzingo, Mzingo turned and looked at Nirmala. "They looked like tigers but their fur was white and black they had very sharp teeth and they could run fast" Mzingo explained. Rani looks at Surak and Nirmala worried, and Kion notices it, "What was that?" Kion called questioning those looks. Rani sighed and looked up, "By the sound of those features we know exactly who that creature was and what they were" Rani explained. Fuli looks at Rani, "Who was it?" Fuli asked. Rani at first avoided eye contact with Fuli and Kion, Alex noticed that avoidance before Rani spoke. "His name is fang and he's a sabertooth tiger" Rani revealed, Chase, Alex, and the Night Pride back up in fear while the others couldn't believe what Rani said.

"Wait Sabertooth tigers have been exict" Ono advised, "Not these ones" Surak answered looking at Ono.  Nirmala stepped forward in front of everyone, "These ones have white and black fur and live in snow" Nirmala explained. Bunga hopped down off of Beshte, "why would they work with Zira? Or how did they even find the Pride Lands?" Bunga asked. Rani looked at Bunga, "Fang was one of Kiba's friends way before they both were evil, back when they both lived here at the tree" Rani explained. "So when Kion roared them away Fang must have heard about it and went to find Kiba" Makini assumed. Everyone's eyes widened as the Night Pride explained everything and Kion sank in the back feeling guilty, "Fang is the Alpha Male" Rani added as the room was Silent. Bunga jumped back, "NOOOOOO! NOT AN ALPHA MALE!!!" Bunga yelled. As Bunga yelled he backed up to Ono, "Hey Ono what's an Alpha Male" Bunga whispered asking.

Everyone sighed and Ono looked at Bunga, "An Alpha Male is the dominant male animal in a particular group" Ono explained. Bunga noded pretending to agree and Ono sighed, "Which means if this Fang is the Alpha Male all the other sabertooth tigers will listen to him and he leads the group, common knowledge really" Ono explained to Bunga. "Ohh that makes sense now" Bunga sighed. Fuli looked around and saw Kion wasnt here before Fuli left to look for Kion, Alex approached Fuli, "Can you help me treat Kiara while the others talk" Alex asked politely. Fuli noded as they went the other way to treat Kiara.

Kion was back on the edge looking out to the Tree Of Life and he sighed, "Kion?" Rani called. Kion turned and saw Rani, "Hey uhh Rani I just wanted to be alone" Kion stuttered a little. "Why?" Rani asked sitting beside Kion. "I'm stress Rani becuase well first off with Zira and now I find out the takeover is my fault becuase I roared them away near our home" Kion ranted. "Kion don't think like that ok, it's not your fault and we know that, then you were trying to save us all before they took over the tree again" Rani reassured. Kion sighed and partially agreed, "Anyway why are you here?" Kion asked placing his paw down but when it landed on Rani's she pulled away and Kion was confused. "Rani?" Kion questioned, "Kion I came here becuase I need to talk to you about something important" Rani explained............
