Chapter 17 The Duel

Characters:

(Lion Guard) Kion, Fuli, Beshte, Ono, Anga, Bunga

(Lion Guard Allies) Skip and flying squirrels, Rani, Mzingo and Outlanders, Chase, Kiara

(Villians) Zira, Makucha, Ora, Chuluun, Kiba, Ruby, Skip, Mama Binturong, Fang, Leon, Leo

(Animal Groups) Wolf Pack{Kiba and Ruby's}, Flying Squirrel Pack Beaver Pack {Alex's colony}, Sabertooth Pack {Fang}

"Kion are you crazy?" Fuli asked upset, "Fuli I know it's risky but it's the only option we got" Kion explained. Kiara looked at Kion, "Kion fighting a sabertooth is crazy" Kiara tried to say. "Kion's right" Skip added. Everyone looked at Skip, "Ok I mean it is bad but good, Fang has a point even if we finish him here and now Zira would find out and kill your family and friends, but if you beat Fang he will stop his sabertooths and that will change things" Fang was explaining. "I hate to admit it but Skip is right if this is our only chance to level Zira's forces we should take it" Rani added.

Kion looked at Fuli and Kiara, "Trust me" Kion insisted, Kiara, sighed, "Fine but be careful" Kiara wished. Fuli was against it but Kion put his paw on Fuli's paw, "I know you're worried but I need to do this for us, for the Lion Guard, for the Pride Lands" Kion explained. Fuli looked down then up, "Fine...just beat him" Fuli commented smiling. Kion nuzzled Fuli and turned walking near Fang, "I accept your deal" Kion called. Fang smiled, "About time, Sabertooth want to say the rules," Fang asked. It was silent, Fang looked and saw the sabertooth was dead from bleeding out, "Makucha do you know the rules?" Fang asked. Makucha noded, "One on One, fighters cannot receive help from their allies, they fight till one side concedes defeat" Makucha explained the rules of this fight. "The Stakes?" Fang asked, "If Kion wins Fang along with all is sabertooths will surrender and leave the Pride Lands, But if Fang wins, he takes Kion to Zira and his friends are locked away" Makcuha explained.

"Fang are you ready?" Makucha asked, Fang noded as he was at one end. "Kion are you ready?" Makucha asked, Kion noded as he was at the other end. Makucha, the Lion Guard and Allies were on the cliffs away from the fight. "3...2...1...FIGHT!!!" Makucha counted down, Kion used the roar to hit Fang but he rolled to his side. "You'll need to do better than that" Fang metioned charging for Kion. Kion jumped up onto Fang's head and jumped behind him and when he jumped the pressure of his legs pushed on Fang's head pushing him to the ground. "ARGH!!!" Fang grunted getting up.

"This is making me nervous" Kiara commented to the Guard, Bunga put his hand on Kiara's shoulder. "Don't worry Kiara, Kion has the roar" Bunga assured, "Bunga sometimes the roar can't solve everything" Rani added. Fuli didnt talk she watched the fight nervously, Anga noticed Skip kept looking at Makucha. "Skip hat are you doing?" Anga whispered. Skip looked at Anga, "I know I old Kion to do this but something feels off" Skip answered. "Don't worry if they try anything we'll be the first to notice" Mzingo reassured.

The Guard all looked at the fight when they heard a loud clash, Fang and Kion clashed claws and they were trading hits off of each other. Fang had a scratch mark on his side and leg, and Kion had one mark on his arm. "You fight well, makes sense you're the leader of the Lion Guard" Fang commented as he clashed with Kion again. "Thanks, your pretty tough makes sense you're the alpha" Kion grunted. Fang smiled and pushed Kion back, Kion fell down and Fang swiped dirt into his eyes. "ARGH!!!" Kion grunted as he rubbed his eyes, "NO FAIR DIRTY PLAY!!!" Bunga shouted. Makucha laughed evilly, "It's not against the rules" Makucha explained. Fang kicked Kion into the wall and scratched his leg, "ARGH!!!" Kion shouted in pain falling down. "KION!!!" Fuli called from above. 

Fang back-peddled giving Kion room, Ono as curious, "That's odd" Ono sighed. "What's odd?" Fuli asked. "Fang could have ended the duel there but he didnt" Ono explained, Fuli looked at Fang, "What are you planning?" Fuli thought. Kion got up and growled, Fang glanced at him, "And the fiercest warrior of the Pride Lands still has some fight" Fang called. "I'll never give up" Kion barked as he rolled forward and kicked Fang away into the wall. "A rock pierced Fang's side, "AH!" Fang shouted in pain.

Kion raised his claw ready to strike but Fang leaped up and dug his claws on the wall climbing, "What the?" Kion questioned. Fang jumped off ointed his claws outward Kion put both arms together t block and a loud crash was heard again.

"Hey, Leo you hear that?" Leon asked, Leo, listened and hear clashing, "It's Dad he's fighting" Leo realized. "Come on we're not far brother"Leon insisted.

Fang and Kion both got up and they both were in pain, "Now I understand why Zira wants you killed so badly" Fang explained. Kion growled as Fang circled, "Well Kion it was fun, after I defeat you I will bring you to Zira and then I get to do whatever I want with your friends" Fang explained evilly. "NO!" Kion shouted, Fang smiled, "Oh yes, but who to torture first your sister, your girlfriend, or the queen of the Tree of Life" Fang teased sinisterly. "NO! I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HURT THE PEOPLE I LOVE!!!" Kion growled in anger. As Kion growled dark clouds were forming in the sky.

"Hapana!!!" Ono gasped, everyone looked at Ono, "I know what his plan is" Ono realized. Everyone backed away from the cliff and went to Ono and Makucha noticed. "This duel is a decoy Fang wants Kion to roar" Ono explained. "Why?" Beshte asked, "This area, the pass is located near the borders of the Backlands, Outlands, and Pride Lands it's very narrow the roar would cause an earthquake and split open the area Kion and Fang are on" Ono explained. "We need to tell Kion" Fuli suggested. "NOT SO FAST!!!" Makucha barked, the Lion guard and its allies turned and their ways widened as Makucha stood there with Kiba, Ruby, and some wolves. "ATTACK!!!" Kiba yelled, "LION GUARD DEFEND!!!" Fuli shouted and both the Lion Guard and allies charged at Kiba and his forces.

Fang clashed with Kion and he looked up and saw Makucha waving giving a signal, Fang kicked Kion into the wall. "So sad Kion I expected so much too bad you and all your friends will die, and I can't wait to crush that Cheetah's throat and feed her lifeless body to my sabertooths" Fang explained sinisterly.  Kion out of rage got up and dug his paws in the ground preparing to roar, "Yes finally" Fang said in his mind. "DON'T WORRY FATHER WERE HERE!" Leon called as Leon and Leo were coming down. "NOOOOOOOOO SONS DON'T!!!!" Fang yelled, but Kion used the roar and it shook the ground violently. Fang went in front of his sons to take the hit and he was thrown by the roar into the wall, Kion looked up and his eyes widened as he saw Kopa. 

"Kopa?" Kion said panting, Leon looked and growled, "You'll pay for that" Leon growled. Leo was sneaking up behind Kion but Rani leaped from above and tackled Leo. Leo grunted and looked and Rani was on top of him, "You" Leo grunted quickly pulling his paw away in pain, Rani, looked and saw when she tackled Leo she hurt his paw. "Wait why do I feel bad?" Rani asked herself. Leo rolled and was on top of Rani now, he raised his claw to strike and Rani flinched, "Why can't I do it..." Leo asked himself he felt something inside and it was preventing him from attacking. 

Before Kion could say anything else or before Leon could say something cracks were forming around them and the ground was starting to crack.

Simba was nuzzling Nala to make sure she was okay and they felt the ground shake, "What was that?" Nala asked. "I don't know" Simba answered, as they looked Zira walked down, "How are my house guests?" Zira asked. "ZIRA WHAT WAS THAT?" Simba yelled demanding an answer, Zira broke in laughter, "Oh that, as we speak your only hope will be falling in a big quake and no one will come help you now" Zira explained evilly. Simba and Nalla backed up and shook their heads in rejection. "don't worry Simba, Kion and Kiara will be reuniting with Kopa and Mufasa very soon" Zira laughed evilly walking away.
