Chapter 6 Shortcut

(Animal Groups) Wolf Pack{Kiba and Ruby's}, Flying Squirrel Pack Beaver Pack {Alex's colony}, Sabertooth Pack {Fang}

The Lion Guard and it's new allies start their journey leaving the mountain pass to start the trek to the Pride Lands. Bunga looks at Ono, "So how long would it take for us to get to the Pride Lands?" Bunga asked. Ono looked at Bunga, "Well when we were bringing Kiara it took us a day" Ono explained. "A DAY!" Everyone repeated surprised, "That's not much" Bunga commented, Kiara looked at Bunga. "Bunga Zira has caused many problems who knows what she could do in a day" Kiara explained. Skip landed down in front of them, "We know a shortcut we took it to communicate with Kiba and it would cut down the journey by half" Skip explained. Kion smiled, "That's great!" Kion cheered. But Skip wasn't cheering, "Well there is some bad news" Skip added, Anga looked at Skip curious, "What kind of bad news?" Anga asked.

Skip looks at Beshte, "You see the shortcut is narrow and your friend won't make it through" Skip explained. Beshte walked forward till he stood beside Kion, "Kion if you need to leave me behind then do so" Beshte advised. Kion looks at Beshte, "Don't worry Beshte we are not leaving anyone, Skip can you take us to this shortcut you speak of and then we'll think of something" Kion reassured then asked looking at Skip. Skip noded, "Follow Me" Skip insisted as he leads the way to a ravine. As Skip lead the way and everyone followed Rani looked up near the cliff thinking she heard something. Fuli stopped and turned to look at Rani, "Hi Rani are you okay?" Fuli asked. Rani turned her head away looking at Fuli, "Sorry I just thought I heard something" Rani answered as she ran to catch up with Fuli and they continued their way.

On the cliff.........

"Good going Ora you almost got us spotted" Makucha scoffed, Ora looked at Makucha, "Listen Makucha it's not my fault the rocks are too big" Ora scoffed back. Chuluun smirked. "You mean your tail was too big" Chuluun teased. Ora turned facing Chuluun, "What did you say, Leopard?" Ora questioned hissing. "QUIT IT ALL THREE OF YOU!" Kiba raised his voice breaking up the disagreement. As they waited Mama Binturong crawled to them, "Are we done fighting?" Mama Binturong asked. Makucha walked and looked at Mama Binturong, "We've been watching long enough let's attack" Makucha insisted. Mama Binturlong silenced Makucha, "Think first, we are outnumbered and Kion is healed with that roar we will play smart if we want to outwit the Lion Guard" Mama Binturong explained. Ora crawled over to Mama Binturong, "What's your plan then?" Ora asked. Mama Binturong smiled, "Well Kiba, Ruby, and I will head back to the Pride Lands to tell Zira, you need to buy us as much time as you can" Mama Binturong explained.

"How are we suppose to do that?" Makucha asked, Mama Binturong, Kiba, and Ruby were starting to head back the ay they come from, "Figure it out!" Mama Binturong answered as they left Makucha, Ora and Chuluun. As Makucha, Ora, and Chuluun left Kiba looked at Mama Binturong, "What kind of plan is that?" Kiba doubted. Mama Binturong looked at Kiba, "It's not I needed to get rid of those three somehow and anyway we should tell Zira and Fang so we can prepare" Mama Binturong explained as the three of them continued walking.

The Lion Guard and allies reached a tall ravine with a narrow crack, "Here it is" Skip pointed out. Bunga looked at the crack then Beshte and then at the crack and then back a Beshte, "Yeah I think Beshte is too big" Bunga explained. "Thanks for the insight" A hyena commented, "Your welcome" Bunga replied looking at that hyena. Fuli looked at Kion, "Have any ideas Kion" Fuli asked. Kion looked at the ravine thinking, "I do have an Idea" Kion answered turning looking at everyone, "Everyone stay behind me!" Kion warned turning looking at the ravine. Mzingo leaned in near Ono and Bunga, "The Roar what's that gonna do?" Mzingo asked. Ono looked at Mzingo, "Well Kion picked up a few tricks at the Tree of Life" Ono explained and answered. Kion used the roar and the ravine was moving causing it to open more and the outlanders, Kiara, Chase and Skip were shocked of hat Kion was doing.

After several minutes of roaring the ravine opened up and Kion stopped taking some heavy breaths and Kiara ran over, "Kion how did you do that?" Kiara asked. Bunga placed his hand on Kiara's shoulder, "He's Kion leader of the Lion Guard plus he learned from some of the old paintings, lessons, and something with Askari it's a long story" Bunga explained briefly. Kion looked at Skip, "What about now?" Kion asked. Skip smiled, "That's one way of doing it" Skip replied, "Welp let's go we can't waste time" Kiara advised as they continued running through the ravine. Makucha, Ora, and Chuluun were surprised what Kion did but they remembered what Mama Binturong said and they continued to follow the Lion Guard.
