Chapter 33 Here we Go

This chapter is a small chapter to calm the book to prepare for the next few chapters so enjoy...

As the team left for Leu's and Meu's plan on the Volcano, Kazi and a sabertooth entered the cave, "Go speak with the others and make sure the area is guarded well, with more than half of our forces gone we need to be on the alert" Kazi instructed.

"Yes sir" The sabertooth replied running away, Kazi walked in and saw Leo was still sleeping and Rani was sleeping close to Leo's chest. Kazi looked over to two sabertooths who were talking, "Isn't that weird a lioness loving a sabertooth" One of the sabertooth gossiped. 

Kazi walked over and the two were caught off guard, "You two, instead of gossiping learn some respect and do your job" Kazi acknowledged. "Yes Sir, Sorry sir" They apologized as they stopped talking about Leo and Rani.

Kazi smiled as he saw Rani was close to Leo's chest and he walked away and saw Kiara sitting outside looking at the volcano. "Something wrong Kiara?" Kazi asked sitting down beside her, "Hey Kazi, just thinking" Kiara said sounding worried. "Are you worried about your brothers?" Kazi asked. Kiara nodded, "Kiara don't fear they are not alone, they will succeed and after we will free the pride lands from Zira's reign?" Kazi advised.

"Kazi, can I ask you a question?" Kiara asked,  Kazi looked at Kiara, "Sure" Kazi answered. "What would the sabertooths do after Zira's fall" Kiara asked. Kazi stopped to think and he actually wasn't even sure himself, "Never thought about that, whatever the Alpha decided" Kazi answered.

Kiara smiled as they looked forward hoping their attack goes well....

Meanwhile, at the Volcano, the Lion Guard, Outlanders, and flying squirrels took positions around the Volcano waiting for their signal. Skip landed down to see Meu and Leu carry Kion and Kopa and their backs looking injured. "Everyone is in position, I'll watch in the sky, good luck" Skip informed before flying away.

Kion and Kopa looked at each other, "Well here we go" Leu whispered as they were approaching the entrance of the Volcano. "Yup, Kion and Kopa, remember to uh...well...pretend your unconscious" Meu suggested. Kion and Kopa noded as they closed their eyes and laid there, "What if this doesn't work?" Leu asked Meu. "Don't fear brother, Skip is watching if something were to go wrong we go with Plan B which is an attack on the Volcano" Meu explained reassuring his brother.

As Meu and Leu reached the entrance they heard a sound, "What was that?" Leu asked, Meu looked around. "The sentries" Meu explained as three wolves jumped down one of them being Ruby. "Leu and Meu your still alive" Ruby stated surprised, "Nice seeing you too Ruby" Leu greeted. 

"Sorry, it's just that the last anyone has heard of you two was when you went into the...." Ruby was saying before being shocked who they were carrying. "How do you have those two?" Ruby asked. Meu looked at Ruby, "Our mission was a success we killed Leo and Rani they were too weak to fight back and on the way out we engaged combat with Kopa and Kion and we used Zira's training and the darkness to outmatch them" Meu explained.

Ruby smiled evilly, "Makucha and Kiba will love this, follow me I'll bring you inside" Ruby explained walking into the Volcano and Meu and Leu followed.

Skip was high up and he saw them enter the Volcano, "Good Luck" Skip wished as he glided away so he couldn't be seen.
