Chapter 1 A New Purpose

At the Tree Of Life, everyone is resting from the attack and the resting from the news about how Zira has been working with other animals to take over the Pride Lands and overthrow Simba's Pride. Majority of the Night Pride and Lion Guard were sleeping except Kion, Kion was near an edge looking out to the stars.  Kion looked out and sighed, "Kion" Fuli called quietly standing behind Kion. Kion turned and stood up seeing Fuli, "Oh Fuli...." Kion replied unaware of her being there. Fuli smiled and walked over and sat down beside Kion and they both looked at the stars. As they looked Fuli looks at Kion, "Why are you out here alone?" Fuli asked, Kion turned his head to look at Fuli. "Just thinking" Kion answered, "It's not healthy to think alone Kion" Fuli advised. 

When Fuli said that she placed her paw on Kion's and smiles to show she'll listen, "Thanks Fuli I don't know what to do, becuase after fighting Talon and Skip with you and Rani then learning that they actually are not so evil and Zira is back and has everyone captured in the pride lands it's been a lot especially learning that Kiara is hurt" Kion explained. As Kion explained Fuli listened and reassured Kion, "Your right it is a lot to take in but Kion we'll help, we're the Lion Guard and your our leader" Fuli assured. Kion looked at Fuli, "I know that Fuli but I don't know if we can win this time" Kion revealed. Fuli turned her head surprised, "Kion what do you mean?" Fuli asked. Kion looked ar Fuli, "But Fuli if it was just Zira were talking about then yes but becuase of me when I sent them flying Kiba, Ruby, Makucha, and their armies joined Zira according to Ono and Mzingo" Kion explained.

Fuli looked at Kion in the eyes, "Don't think like Kion" Fuli added, "But Fuli..." Kion tried to say Fulileaned in and kissed Kion as she did that Kion eyes widened and his ears raised as he kissed back. After they kissed for a few seconds Fuli backed up and looked at Kion, "The Kion I know wouldnt care about that he would gather his friends and battle to make sure we can save everyone" Fuli explained. Kion smiled as Fuli talked, "And Kion I believe you can do anything as long as you use this" Fuli reassured placing her paw on Kion's chest near his heart. Kion and Fuli exchanged looks and smiled, "Thanks for everything Fuli" Kion thanked. "No Kion thank you" Fuli added as they both nuzzled watching the stars together.

Rani P.O.V

I need to speak to Kion and Fuli about everything that's been going on lately I've been really busy with all this and I really don't want Kion or Fuli to leave but they do need to help their home.

As Rani thought to herself she stopped and saw Kion and Fuli kissing and talking Rani quickly hid. Rani watched and turned around walking back down the hill to avoid them, "I don't know what to think anymore" Rani told herself walking down. Rani was headed to the river to get a drink. As Rani got to the river starting to drink she looked up and saw beavers sleeping across but Alex was meditating on top of a rock. Rani walked over to Alex and tried to get his attention, "Hey Alex!" Rani called whispering. Alex open his eyes seeing Rani and he hopped down, "Oh Rani what brings you here" Alex asked. Rani sat down and looked at Alex, "I need advice" Rani requested. Alex nodded and they walked down the path near the river. 

"So what troubles you, Rani?" Alex asked,  "Alex did Buku ever talked about me Kion and Fuli," Rani asked. Alex looked at Rani, "Well...according to my father there was a possibility of a love triangle but only the three of you could decide that" Alex explained. Rani sighed and Alex noticed, "Why do you ask?" Alex asked. "I been starting to feel different" Rani revealed, "Different?" Alex questioned. "After the end of the battle and seeing Kion and Fuli including what I just saw I don't want to ruin their relationship and someday I want a king who can help me rule" Rani explained. Alex stopped and looked at Rani, "I understand you want to find someone else but you don't know who" Alex suggested. Rani nodded, "Listen, Rani, If you want my opinion, you should go with the Lion Guard and help them in the pride lands and maybe on the way you'll find someone" Alex insisted.

Rani was surprised, "I would want to but I have a kingdom to watch over Alex" Rani added. Alex put his paw on Rani's shoulder, "Rani you may have the responsibility of ruling the tree of life but like my father said follow your heart, if you need to take a break from here to think clearer and grow stronger than do so we will support you" Alex reassured and explained. Rani smiled, "Thanks for your're help I'll think about it" Rani thanked and explained turning and leaving. As Rani left Alex turned looking at the clouds, "Father!" Alex called.

When Alex called the clouds glowed and Buku appeared, "Yes son I am here" Buku replied. Alex smiled, "How did you think I did?" Alex asked, "I have taught you well and you did your very best and that's all that matters" Buku reassured. Alex smiled and then frowned and Buku noticed, "What troubles you, my son," Buku asked. Alex sighed, "I'm worried Rani hasn't been herself and Kion has been doubtful after finding out Zira and the others have taken over their home and I keep asking myself how do we win" Alex explained. Buku smiled, "Don't fear my son none of you are alone you all have your friends and families,  supports and help and our guidance" Buku explained.

"Our?" Alex questioned, Buku smiled and as he smiled on Buku's sides the clouds glowed as Mufasa, and Janna appeared. Alex fell back as he saw the two lions, "Yes Alex don't fear we will guide you" Mufasa explained. "Young Alex it is okay to be scared we all face it but hat matters is how we overcome the fear" Janna reassured. Alex smiled as he talked to Mufasa, Janna, and Buku and they told Alex what to do and how he can help.
