Chapter 63 Lost

1 Week after the attack...

Kion was on a high vantage point and he could see around the borders of the Pridelands, patrols of Wolves and Sabers contiued to guard the area. Kion looked up and saw Skip and Mzingo in the air and they both shook their heads in disappointment. Before Kion could say anything he heard the sound of running and he saw Fuli run to him.

"Any Luck?" Kion asked, Fuli shook her head in disappointment and Kion walked to Fuli and from the hill, they both looked at the cave.

Kion P.O.V

It's been a week after Kiba's devasting attack on Violet and Alex's, and hope was lost. Nirmala and Rani did all they could but it wasn't enough. Later that night, we all sat there in the cave as the sound of lighting could be heard. It pained me to see it happen again, it pained all of us especially Violet. Kiba took another person from her life, I still blame myself. If we acted quicker to take down Zira, Kiba would have never had the chance to strike. The worst of it all is we had to bury him and Kiba could not be found. Violet has been in the cave for the whole week as we all search to find a good attack point to seize the Pridelands back but Zira's defence is strong and we don't know what to do.

Kion still remembers the night they had to bury Alex and the sound of Violet's pack howling still runs in their memories. Zira ordered all the Metal Fang leaders to bring all their wolves and clans increasing her forces even more. Kion and Fuli heard another sound and when they looked behind them they saw Makucha and Leu.

"We have another problem" Makucha advised, Kion and Fuli looked at each other and then Makucha worried. Shortly Kion, Fuli, Skip, Mzingo, Makucha, and Leu all met with the other in the cave to hear what Makucha and Leu found out.

When Kion entered he looked around seeing all the outlanders and their leaders, Kazi and his sabertooths, Kopa and Vitani's family, the Night Pride, Kirara and Leo, Skip and his flying squirrels,  and in the back was Violet as Seiko and Finn were with her as the pack was around. 

"Zira wants us out of hiding" Makucha started

"No really" Kopa replied in sarcasm but Vitani nudged him telling him to be nice about it and Makucha looked at Kion.

"Leu and I heard word from some animals in the Pridelands. Zira is calling all the animals to Pride Rock tomorrow at Sunset."

"For what?" Skip asked,

"Zira plans to execute the Simba, Nala, Rafiki, and your sister Luna, Skip" Leu answered and everyone was quiet hearing that.

"She must be bluffing" Kovu commented,

"I doubt she would be bluffing. She want us all dead so she'll do everything she can to lure us out" Seiko commented.  

Kion took a moment to think as everyone was talking about it,

"What are we going to do?" Kazi asked,

"It would be suicide if we stormed into the Pridelands" Seiko replied,

"But then they will die. We cannot let more people die from Zira or her army" Skip protested,

"Are you even hearing yourself. Attacking Zira and her army head-on. We would have to defeat the border patrols and any troops on the way to Pride Rock. Then when we get there we will most likely have to fight Zira, Kiba, and all the Metal Fang generals." Seiko replied.

"What do you want to do then? Stay here and let them die, if we don't save them Zira will do more evil things to get us out of this cave" Kopa stated.

"Stop making me look like the bad guy here. I'm not saying that but I'm just saying whatever we do it won't be easy for us." Seiko stated.

"It never was easy to start" Kion interrupted. Everyone looked at Kion and he smirked.

"Zira thinks it is over for us. She wants us to be scared and make a quick and impulsive decision. But we won't let her have that, we are the only thing that stands in her way and we are going to do everything in our power to stop her. I know I am asking a lot from you guys but please, I need your help and support to take the Pridelands back and save everyone" Kion stopped and looked.

"The Outlanders would be nothing without the Pridelanders. You have my support always" Jasiri commented as she knew all the Outlanders were in agreement. Kion smiled and then looked at the Lion Guard and he already knew their answer.

"You have done many things for us Kion, and our new leader is much closer to the Night Pride. If the Night Pride is in then we are as well" Kazi answered turning his attention to Rani and Leo. "Don't even need to think twice. Night Pride is with you Kion" Rani added. Kion looked to his left and saw Kopa and Kiara smile and nod as they were with Vitani, Kovu, and Nuka. 

"Of course we are in" Skip added, Kion saw everyone was in and then he looked at Seiko and he looked at Violet.

"I'm sorry Kion, this is too much for me and for us. We're heading home tonight but I wish you luck" Violet said quietly as she turned to leave the cave. Seiko looked back at Kion, "She is the leader so-"

"I understand" Kion interrupted, Kion heard a sound and saw Makucha, Leu, and Meu smirk. "We're in" Leu added. Makucha looked at Kion, "So what's the plan Kion?" Makucha asked.

"We need to do recon first. Let's have our aerial animals check the areas from above. Then we will have Fuli, Makuca, Leu, and Meu search the areas the aerial animals can't reach or see." Kion ordered as everyone nodded in agreement. But before everyone left Kion said some final words.

"Thank you all, now remember we aren't doing this for us. Or for revenge, or just because we want to. All our efforts are going towards one goal. We're doing this, for the Pride Lands." Kion explained as everyone left to do their role.
